    Although it is quite a bit bigger than a P and, for some, can feel a bit clumsy. The reduced size of the Sadowsky and Lakland variants addresses this potential issue. I prefer the offset styling myself, as they're the same on the knee as on the strap.

    I've been listening to a few P vs Mustang videos and the Mustangs seem to 'out P' the Ps on every occasion, whether full sized split or mini Mustang split pickup, at least to my ears. YMMV. Of course it might be down to strings, but in a mix, etc.

    Prepare to be amazed. Andy Taylor's guitar work is marvellous throughout, but the runs on the outro of Go My Own Way are stellar. JT's bass playing is just brilliant on every track.

    There are a number of pedals that have a visual feedback, the Boss BC 1X has very similar LEDs to the MXR, for instance.

    I have and like the M87. Pretty much transparent to my ears. Can be subtle or aggressive (proper limiting, not that I use it for that) and has that visual feedback via the LEDs, which I find useful/informative.

    I use exactly the same strings on my shorties as I do on my longer scales. I also pluck where it's most comfortable (pretty much the same, relative to all my basses). Again, no rattles.

    Agreed. Neither of my shorties buzz, I don’t have a high action on them and not much relief either. I think the guy who mentioned the bridge might need refitting was possibly being kind and not wanting to seem negative, @dmc79

    I’m a big DiMarzio fan. Great products and fantastic customer service. I’ve been using their pickups in various instruments since the ‘70s. They’re always on my list of pickups to check out when I’m in the market. Glad the above are working out for you, they look tasty too.
