  1. Oof! That sounds so good. I love the P bass aesthetic and I’m a short scale convert. I’m in a lot of trouble 😬.
  2. Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now - The Smiths
  3. Lucky Number - Lene Lovich
  4. Gimme Gimme Gimme - Abba
  5. If you've not seen it already, you'll probably be interested in this thread...
  6. Jake the... no, no, NO! The Firth of Fifth - Genesis
  7. I really like Thomann’s, Julia Hofer. She also has her own channel. A great player with a wonderful enthusiasm. Taking on some Anthony Jackson on a fretless… Even playing on a train!
  8. Ships in the Night - BeBop Deluxe
  9. The Wreckers - Rush
  10. Ah ha! They look so similar and I was quite sleepy when I posted my confusion. In the bright light of the new day I see the difference, now that you point it out.
  11. I’m confused
  12. Sulky Girl - Robert Palmer
  13. Digging in the Dirt - Peter Gabriel
  14. Shallow - Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper
  15. Heard it for the first today, I have to agree. Could be anyone behind the singer, couldn’t detect anything particularly Floyd-esque about it. Doesn’t detract from the sentiment, however. Their name is probably enough.
  16. Gah! Well, I suppose it’s ‘show business’ and not ‘show buddies’, but FFS, what sh*tshow.
  17. Can I Kick It - A Tribe Called Quest
  18. Original lineups are hard, albeit not impossible, to find, especially with bands that have been around for a significant time, natural attrition, as mentioned in this very thread, is unavoidable, at least eventually. When it comes to Pink Floyd, there are those who bemoaned the lack of Syd Barrett, for ages. The Who is a weird one, as everyone of the original line up brought something special to the sound, the same can be said for Zeppelin, although Jason makes the perfect replacement for his old man. For the ultimate ‘are they the actual band?’ scenario, look no further than Wishbone Ash and the court case that surrounded that debacle.
  19. Far Far Away - Slade
  20. Turn it On - Genesis
  21. Gold hardware - er, didn’t I own a Ibanez 1605 with Midas like hardware? Yes. 38mm nut widths - er, isn’t one of my current, go to, short scales, 38mm? Yes. Heavy basses - hmm, what about those 3 boat anchors I owned? Um… oh yeah. Active circuits - yeah, yeah, I know. I’m starting to see a theme. Seems like, although there are things that don’t normally float my water bound craft, they aren’t necessary out of bounds. And there was me thinking I’m a fussy fart.
  22. Call Me - Blondie (again).
  23. Waiting for an Alibi - Lizzy
  24. Given the price of the Maruszczyk line, by way of a First World production comparison, I think you're doing fine, by quite some margin. Do I wish the Chowny range was cheaper, but still retaining the quality? Of course, but one has to be realistic about these things. I see from an earlier picture you had a '51 style P bass at the Liverpool show, if you see the way forward to including more cloned/inspired by basses, can I put in a shout for a 32", modern P or P/J type?
