  1. If that had been the neck pocket gap on my old ‘63 P, I would have described it as airtight by comparison. Really, the gap was HUGE! Still sounded fantastic and never moved. I understand the reasoning and general consensus behind a tight neck pocket and I used to think the same way too, now I’m a bit more laissez faire about it.
  2. Aesthetically, that’s a huge improvement IMO and if the sound is now more to your liking, then that’s a win all round. Ouststanding 👏👏👏.
  3. That is fantastic looking, everything is just right. I’m not normally a fan of that shape on a bass, but Maruszczyk have nailed it with this. Cracks in the nitro finish, completely natural.
  4. A username I regret. It’s not meant to mean easy, it’s the first 2 letters of my actual name added to my instrument of choice.
  5. Missed this when originally posted -
  6. Just saw this in the classifieds, as this model was mentioned earlier I thought I’d share it here. OOPS! ALREADY SHARED. Ignore me
  7. That was great, thanks for sharing.
  8. Killing Me Softly - Roberta Flack
  9. 50 Ways To Leave Your Lover - P Simon
  10. In my previous band, down south, we’d normally play 2x45 or 2x60 minute sets. Up here in Scotland, with my new band, 3x60 minute sets, on the club circuit, seems to be the norm for us.
  11. That sucks, big time! Sorry for your troubles ☹️. If, in the worst case scenario, it doesn’t take, Sabbath’s Tony Iommi is probably the leading authority on playing with missing/damaged digits. Like him, I suspect you might need some sort of protective, prosthetic.
  12. The SBMM Stingray Ray24 CA has a 1.5” nut width. https://intl.sterlingbymusicman.com/products/ray24-ca?variant=41148977250419
  13. Johannes Tona is on fire in this 4 number set.
  14. Without weighing in with an opinion one way of the other, with all the times that this subject arises, does anyone actually change their mind? My guessing is no. What we inevitably end up with is pantomime, “Oh, yes it does!” “Oh, no it doesn’t!” In addition, it creates some bad feeling. Maybe we should have a no politics, no religion, no tonewood ruling. 🤔
