  1. Indeed (although this was some years ago).
  2. Err, I can spit in a tissue or take a pin to my finger if you want. Oh, I see, from the keyboard players I mentioned. Are you cloning band members? Just when you thought BC couldn’t get weirder 😆. Sadly, they’re all about 500 miles south of me these days, but I could ask if they wouldn’t mind (hmm, on second thoughts that’s just wrong).
  3. Why Does It Hurt When I Pee? - Zappa
  4. That Yammy looks even better in the hand.
  5. That is priceless and so perfect. A sad day, but sounds like it was a good send off. He will be missed on BC for those who interacted with him or even just read his posts, he was part of what made BC a good place to be. RIP, MB1.
  6. Crying to the Sky - BeBop Deluxe (they’re back!)
  7. Who Wants To Live Forever - Queen
  8. Arms of Mary - Sutherland Bros & Quiver
  9. Lady Marmalade - La Belle
  10. I’ve been lucky enough to play with 3 very talented keys players, one of whom has become a very close friend. However, he had to be ‘told’ a few times in our early days…
  11. The Ballad of Bonnie & Clyde - Georgie Fame
  12. Neither the official Wishbone Ash (Andy Powell) or Martin Turner ‘plays’ Wishbone Ash (a very acrimonious court case said that MT can’t call his band WA) are as good as the tribute band, Ashbone U Wish, IMO. Both of the ‘name’ bands are missing something and that something is each other, but that’ll never happen now. I’ve seen both the AP & MT incarnations (probably more than any other band) numerous times and I’ve always been disappointed sadly. AUW we’re always spot on and their bass player, who is a member here, even depped for Bob Skeat on one the tours. Sorry to just drop in widdle over the OP’s fireworks, if anyone enjoys either incarnation, I’m genuinely happy for you and a little envious too. Argus and New England are my favourite WA albums.
  13. Old Man - Neil Young
  14. God Loves A Drunk - Richard Thompson
  15. Digging on James Brown - Tower of Power
  16. What a superb, comparison demo. That’s how it should be done. Kudos, Good Sir. 👏👏👏 I really like that Eko.
  17. That’s how I read it.
  18. Hanging Around - The Stranglers
  19. Yep, Bobby V turns it round from the pointy end as does guitarist (yes, I know, but he is a bit good) Robben Ford. Oh yeah, I do too! I find it gives a softer attack, whilst also feeling more comfy.
  20. Neither are particularly vintage, but the Hipshot A comes in a number of widths, whilst the Schaller is adjustable. https://hipshotproducts.com/collections/bass-bridges/products/a-style-bass-bridge https://schaller.info/en/bridges/337/3d-4?c=52
  21. Great introduction, Maarten. That’s how it should be done.
  22. Sick Again - LZ
  23. Bohemian Like You - The Dandy Warhols
  24. Red Rain, Sledgehammer (of course), Steam, Shaking the Tree. His solo album ‘Resonator’ is marvellous.
  25. Did you pay the low estimate the lady on the phone quoted, or did Ron & Reggie ask for more?
