  1. This popped up on my Facebook feed (how do they know I’m bald?) and I found it quite entertaining. Given the amount of follicly challenge members here, I thought it might be of interest. Those with hair can listen too. https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/tony-levin-is-bald/id1525769739?i=1000508447953
  2. It really is a double whammy, you’re not feeling the bass love and then, you’re feeling bad about not feeling the love. Such a shame from something that normally gave us joy. C19, the plague that keeps on giving.
  3. Oof! Lovely. Also proves that, every once in a while, Rockbottom (a misnomer if there ever was one) had a quality instrument for sale. I can’t think of a single instrument that I ever bought from them, although I used to rehearse in their space once upon a time (lucky we weren’t all killed, it turned out the entire ceiling system was lined with masses of sand 😱!).
  4. Excellent! It really doesn’t take much to get the juices flowing again, does it? I’m hoping for another collaboration project to come down the pipe for me soon. Hopefully, it’ll be something juicy bass-wise (I’ve already nixxed an early suggestion as, whilst a good tune [Do It Again], hardly exciting for bass players), or just really rocking.
  5. Rainbow In The Dark - Dio (literally on the radio now).
  6. Never say never in my case. However, my 2 Maruszczyk custom builds would probably be the last to go.
  7. This is true and, to be honest, I think it became more of a tourist attraction, than a place for anyone local (ish) to actually go shopping there and, for the most part, the service was appalling, so it’s not surprising that shops moved away (the rents and rates much be astronomical). I bought a Gretsch from Anthony Macari back in the day; it was always a strange shop. I remember when it was called the Fender Soundhouse and they were in Tottenham Court Road, in my memory, it was massive. Rose Morris were in Shaftesbury Avenue (saw Rory Gallagher in there once) before they moved to Denmark Street. Thinking about it, the area was a good place to see guitar celebrities: I saw Laurie Wisefield window shopping outside Macaris and Hank Marvin in Argent’s.
  8. If I’m not mistaken, this is a subject that seems to reoccur every now and again, it doesn’t seem to be an isolated incident with BD.
  9. Realistically (including financial considerations) it’s the only way I’d consider a Sadowsky now.
  10. Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car -Billy Ocean
  11. Some moveable, foam shapes with velcro backing should come as standard for generic cases, IMO. This is what Protection Racket cases come with.
  12. Ridiculous! This whole Warwick licence debacle has done nothing but tarnish the Sadowsky brand IMO.
  13. Now that’s genius. There are so many different sections on a flat wooden coat hanger with a trouser bar, that you’re bound to find a part that works for you and they can be really long too. I bow to your inventiveness!
  14. Maybe it’s heavy water? I’m an earth pig; lovely 🤔.
  15. Proof that @Cat Burrito is good for metal. Same bull, different packet.
