And don’t forget Germany’s Delano (I have these in a couple of custom basses), great customer service too, https://www.delano.de
My hair (or lack thereof) is as depressing as a Leonard Cohen song . TBF, I quite like Laughing Len, the original version of Hallelujah, being the best, by quite some measure, IMO.
I can’t say I’m surprised, sadly. The BC collective’s initial gut reaction to this event does seem to have been spot on.
I sincerely hope that any monies paid to the organisers is refunded in full and swiftly. 🤞
One of the BC collective was in a Wishbone Ash tribute, AshboneUwish. As they were friends of mine, I saw them a few times and they were always better than the contemporary version/s of the actual band.
Even with the shipping and taxes, the newer one is still one of the cheapest, ‘name brand’, short scale, P basses available. If the nut width was wider, I’d be having a long hard think about a black one.
Probably a good decision. Having to learn all the material, combined with rehearsals, when your heart isn’t completely in it, would probably just piss you off and lead to you jacking it in. Being of a similar vintage, one’s time is better spent doing things that bring you joy.
