Reccommenddattions for light but not silly expensive cabs.
ezbass replied to Stub Mandrel's topic in Amps and Cabs
Lightweight, powerful and sit brilliantly in the mix. Don’t sound great when played isolated at home, but in a band situation they are the mutt’s dangly bits. -
I thought this might happen.

Music first, always. I was in a Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers tribute, we didn’t dress up at all (other than TP and Mike Campbell, they were quite nondescript) but we aimed to get the music as spot on as possible. It’s nice if the front person/s make an effort, not so it’s a parody, but it doesn’t really matter if they just go on as themselves.

Might be the post quoting, but not on the last page thing I mentioned above.

Muting technique - Why didn't I think of this?

Looks weird, but if you have the clearance under the strings, why not? -

This seems to be BJ & Co’s new guidance, “It’s up to you now, not our problem or fault if it goes tîts up.” British common sense will prevail apparently. Not holding my breath, but perhaps I should. -
It seems that when quoting a post from a page that is not the last and, adding one’s own literary flourishes, pressing save doesn’t appear to work, often meaning the save button is pressed again and maybe even once more. The problem seems to be that after the initial save, you are not taken immediately to last post position where your post would have appeared pre update. Instead, posters are left in limbo wondering why their post hasn’t saved, when of course it has, just on the last page, possibly a number of times.

What an absolute beast! In a good way.

I didn’t have a badge before, but I now I do, all the levels became visible once clicked.

Bit of a thread revival. Did you tryout the Fallout? If so, how did it compare to the JMJ?

I have both fretted and fretless. They do different things and although I love fretless, I would never consider frets as training wheels (I'm currently loving my short scale fretted). I'm not a Jaco fan, but he is mostly revered in the bass community. Jaco played both fretted and a lined fretless.

I've read elsewhere that clicking on someone's avatar, it shows at the bottom of their profile. I've tried this on both Safari and Chrome, but there's nothing there that I can see.

That’s ok if you don’t have fat fingers, I always seem to miss the blob. Ham hand/eye coordination on phones and tablets is not my strong suit, it’s amazing I can type at all.

I found this in account settings Seems to sort the issue. @Paul S might want to see this too.

How did you find this list? Can someone explain to this ‘bear of very little brain’ how this new system works?

You could’ve gone vertical, with the Wing horizontal on the foreground. More effort required, could do better (as my school reports often said) 😆. Still a nice, eclectic collection, though.

I’ve done it mid song, just turned the volume down to see if anyone noticed; they didn’t.

It’s how you go about things, for sure. For instance: “play it like this” vs “have you thought of playing it like this?”
