I'm currently in the throes of a lockdown collaboration of Don't Give Up. I've just cut out 2 snippets of the main, muted, fingerstyle riff on a J type and the outro riff played fingerstyle on a Rob Allen fretless (deep, almost upright tone). You're welcome to these if they'd help. There's no EQ or anything on the clips and they're not huge files.

Just had a quick look at the title/premise and it seems he's talking about things he's talked and written about before. Is there any new stuff in there at all (I've read his book and seen him live)?

‘Should use’. I imagine the Fender Custom Shop probably just use screws unless specified differently by the client. EDIT - I’ve not owned a Fender Custom Shop instrument, so I can’t comment from a user POV.
