I think this press photo speaks volumes as to how much Ozzy punters can expect to see.

The descant recorder is a horrible sounding thing when played badly, the lower pitched recorders are far more pleasant. I’ve always wondered why they have children play the descant or the violin, both sound excruciating in their hands. No wonder so many quit, as did I.

That photo gives me the heebie-jeebies, the canal is on the wonk, but the water isn’t pouring off the left side. 😬 Perhaps this is deliberate, in order to promote some edgy compositions?

I know that shop well, although I’ve never been in it. As to Croydon being Shakespeare’s place of birth, I was unaware that the town that regularly features high up in lists of shit towns, was/is an outpost of Stratford-upon-Avon 🤔. I suspect they were referring to its ambience, rather than its geographical location. Croydon does reasonably well for musical instrument outlets, having the above and the town somewhat bracketed by Rock Bottom (massive misnomer) and Martin Phelp’s. It also the home to Feline Guitars.

For me personally, nothing. I’m more than happy with the 45-100 cobalt flats, a gauge I’ve used for as long as I can remember, with various manufacturers. However, for those who like the sound and feel of cobalt flats, but have issues with certain strings, due to gauge/tension (as @ghostwheel says, perhaps those coming from LaBella), these could be the answer to their desires.
