  1. Working in a Coalmine - Lee Dorsey
  2. Is that just the listing fee or are they not charging their commission as well now (can't see that happening, but who knows?). EDIT: Looks like it is gratis (up to 300 lists per month)
  3. It's a Stagg Fusion model and is also available in short scale (30") and that does look like it might be a SS. Price seems OK (eBay have a couple around the £135-£200 mark). Stagg stuff is entry level, but normally quite serviceable. Short scales aren't a bad place to start and there is a real trend towards folk using them more and more, myself included.
  4. I have no need for this (I don't, I don't, I don't!) but what a lovely thing. Put a link in the Watches thread perhaps (unless you've already done so)?
  5. I would but I other pressing matters to attend to.
  6. Not everyone here is on Facebook, can you post a picture?
  7. These are fantastic guitars (I have one) the necks are sublime. GLWTS
  8. Visions of China - Japan
  9. I’m Only Sleeping - The Beatles
  10. That’s kind. Funnily enough, there may be an opportunity for me to play the NS live. It appears that the keyboard player in my band is releasing a jazz recording (I had no idea he was a closet jazzer) and is looking to do a gig with some of this work and probably some more well known stuff. I was pretty much told that I’ll be playing in that - he’s never heard me on upright, he could be in for an unpleasant surprise . Anyway, this would certainly justify the potential investment in some Spiros.
  11. Wind Beneath My Wings - Bette Midler
  12. Eight Miles High - The Byrds
  13. Down To The Waterline - Dire Straits
  14. Down In The Sewer - The Stranglers
  15. This is unprecedented, 9 months gone and still here, despite proper, raging GAS (yes I’m looking at you Stuart Spector and your tempting design). An NS centre pin, support doohickey is currently tickling my fancy, which I could call an essential accessory, to aid comfort of playing, but I don’t think I’m kidding anyone. Must resist.
  16. I Travel - Simple Minds
  17. Far Far Away - Slade
  18. She Bangs The Drum -The Stone Roses
  19. There’s the discontinued Yamaha RBX4 A2, which was light weight. Maruszczyk Elwood Ls are very light (I have 2). However, my first thought was the aforementioned Danelectro. And just for @warwickhunt… https://www.thomann.co.uk/danelectro_58_longhorn_bass_red_hot.htm?glp=1&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADuDMCVv1qoIZ3fNWkAPJwPEc5lrb&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIq_KstK3qiAMV4oRoCR3KsxD2EAQYBiABEgIuz_D_BwE
  20. The Detours, next Saturday, at a venue in Dundee. Oh, hang on, what do you mean we didn’t confirm? It appears that apparently the message didn’t come through that we’d accepted and they booked someone else 😤. Hmm 🤔. Oh well, weekend off and the venue potentially feeling that they owe us a favour🤞.
  21. I had them on my old Ibanez, I thought they sounded great until I gigged with it. I heard this superb, slightly grindy tone and wondered who it was, I had no idea that digging in would drive them like that. I really must fit some in a bass again.
  22. Never Too Much - Luther Vandross
  23. Mmm, Nordstrands.
