  1. I think this is the video I used as a guide I hope these help @Gunsfreddy2003
  2. I found this. It’s tabbed out for 5 string and is a bit scruffy, for which I apologise.
  3. I did have something IIRC, that, plus a video on YT, is how I how I learnt it. Leave it with me, I’ll have a hunt around my old charts and see if I still have it. Watch this space.
  4. I saw BV's master class and his clinic with Scott at the last LBGS, what an inspiration. Fortunately, my pick chops are regularly exercised from playing guitar, so it was easy to experiment with playing songs I normally play with my fingers (although I had to get thinner picks for bass than I use with guitar for the right sound, 0.73mm à la BV). I'm so glad I tried it, I now play a fair amount of my band's song with a pick as they just sound better with it.
  5. I thought tonight’s guitar episode was rather good.
  6. I bought my Delano MM from Bass Direct. Also, one of own number is a dealer it seems.
  7. Learning some new tunes for a new project has had me listening to Jackson Browne’s, The Pretender. Bob Glaub’s fills are beautiful (yes it’s BG, not Lee Sklar, as sometimes credited for that track).
  8. That bad boy is dangerous, I racked up a £2.5k build without trying.
  9. For something different, a Rob Allen. https://www.roballenguitars.com/
  10. Contrasting central strip giving it a neck through look using some of that purple heart and some maple?
  11. ^ Loving the purple Dingwall.
  12. E-C tuning, where have you been all this time? Loving it!

It is fun isn’t it? My first 5 string was tuned E-C!

I like, but haven't really got a use for it.  I find B-G tuning means I can play higher up the neck instead.  I prefer the sound up there anyway :)

    Geddy Lee pedal

Adding a DI box with an XLR and a parallel jack output would solve the lack output options.
  14. Given they had Flea in the drum episode, it would've been an easy goal. Re: McCartney's playing of more notes in that example; I wonder if doing that made singing over it easier, I know I struggle singing over simpler, deep pocket lines. I found it interesting how poor the imitation of Bernard's 'chucking' was, never mind what sounded like the 'wrong' notes to me, repeated over and over (when they showed the BE footage, it was a different line and played way, way better). Not enough about the P bass for sure, I'd rather they covered that than where Talking Heads once lived. However, I'd be interested in a Talking Heads documentary.
  15. Cool map/wallpaper. Those Skylines are quality instruments. GLWTS.
  16. I thought the drum episode was better, but that may be down to already knowing the majority of the content of this episode already.
  17. He is just brilliant, I discovered him through his cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
  18. That's one of the best looking Frog sixers I've seen. Someone is going to be very happy indeed.
  19. Oh that's clever, I did not know that. Dammit! Now have Tony Franklin P Bass GAS.
  20. That looks the total dog's dangly bits.
  21. I was pretty sure I’d be able to abstain for this year, but since reading the thread for adding tube warmth to solid state amps and the Tech21 Geddy Lee pedal thread, I’m not feeling so positive.
  22. You are a clever and talented chap. Up to and including, mind reading; I was looking at the alternate back cover and thought that it’d look better the other way round, scrolled down and you told me why you couldn’t do that. 👏👏👏
