Ooh, you tease! There was I about to reel off the old chestnut of, pics or it didn’t happen, and then you come in with a valid excuse; curses! 😂
However, I feel I can speak for the BC collective when I say, “Details, dammit!” 😉
Man alive that’s a small bass! I had a 1605 which was pretty lithe, but this new beast makes the 1605 look like a great big chubby thing; no wonder it’s so light. Not having the correct tools or an accurate manual is pretty shabby though.
That Spector is getting a lot of exposure and I suspect that it is stoking some ferocious GAS hereabouts. I appear to be immune (so far) as I think it’s great but it hasn’t got me looking for them online - time will tell though 😂.
I’ve subscribed to Lee’s channel, but I still watch them here too (it depends which I fire up first YT or BC, it’s normally BC). I like to add to the kudos as I wouldn’t have known about these videos in the first Bass if it wasn’t for @NoirBass 👏👏👏
I'm not massively up on the different interface types, the cable mine came with was USB A -C (spec here https://www.thomann.de/gb/focusrite_scarlett_solo_3rd_gen.htm ).
Just bought a solo (I looked at the PreSonus iOne too, but the reviews of the Solo were better and I’m not recording with my iPad or iPhone) and it’s great. TBH, I don’t have anything to compare it to, this being my first USB interface, but the quality seems pukka; I’m glad I went the extra £20.
I had one of those, the Big Singles are lurvley. I’m a largish guy (6 foot, 85kg) and I eventually found it a bit small for me. Beautifully put together and light as a light thing.
Corts have always offered massive bang for buck and a singlecut would be different. However, when have Yamaha ever made a less than excellent instrument at any price point? Although, I’d have to go for the trans black rather than the fingerprint magnet, but that’s just me. Interesting choice, I doubt you’ll be disappointed either way and if it were me, it’d probably come down to aesthetics and weight.
I’m lucky enough to be a 20min drive from my local GG and a train and tube journey from The Gallery. I’d always give these guys a chance to match an online price, or get very close, and buy the kit I’ve tried.
