  1. America is one of my fave Yes tracks. I discovered it when I bought Yesterdays back in the day, before it became a bonus track on CDs.
  2. I’ve always thought of it as, Don’t Talk Back You W*****
  3. I’m pretty sure I went for a Boss supply.
  4. IIRC it was a Behringer that I had an issue with, a better power supply fixed it.
  5. 🤦‍♂️
  6. Bit of zombie thread time 🧟‍♂️ I've enjoyed owning the NS WAV, but don't play it as much as I should, mainly down to it not having any place in the band I'm in (Mod, Ska, Northern Soul, etc), where I almost exclusively play my JMJ Mustang. All this means that I've had thoughts of selling the EUB, so that it at least gets played by someone. However, today, I started playing around with an old, live recorded, track I did years ago on fretless (Tori Amos' Cornflake Girl). I dropped it into GarageBand, remixed it a bit and played along, first with my Rob Allen MB2 and then with the WAV. Tonally, the basses weren't a million miles apart (those MB2s are amazing for that almost DB tone), but I had way more fun playing the WAV, almost dancing whilst recording. So it looks like the EUB might be hanging around a bit longer, I just need to play it more. That is all.
  7. ^^^ this
  8. Very true but probably not what @neepheid wants to hear . Let's hope that the date has been put back because Sire have been ironing these flaws at source and not releasing the product until it's right. If that is so, look out for a bunch of B stock down the line at hugely discounted prices. 🤞
  9. I think this has a lot to do with it, although my fave decade was the '80s and my teens were behind me. My post also had for me too. It's art and, as always, YMMV. The whole Britpop thing left me cold.
  10. Another call for power supply. I have one pedal that doesn’t like one of my cheap power supplies.
  11. That complete wiring upgrade is not to be overlooked.
  12. I often think that, for me, the mid to late ‘90s is where music went to die in the UK.
  13. USA, 1/2" Ultralights IIRC. Needed to pack the ferrules with tape a bit, but not masses.
  14. Can’t breathe too deeply if you’re outside here today, as drowning would be a definite possibility .
  15. I actually like the pickups, they seem to be voiced slightly differently from those on the Fenders, more gnarly to my ears - YMMV. I changed out the tuners for some lightweight Hipshots I had and I also have a couple of replacement pickguards.
  16. Oh FFS I’m having a weird day.
  17. Slave to the Grind - Skid Row
  18. Thanks, fixed at source.
  19. It’s computer driven scalping, plain and simple. When people have been hanging online, only to be kicked out due to supposed IT issues, to get back online and find the price massively escalated, is profiteering, plain and simple. Just because it’s legal doesn’t make it moral.
  20. I use a compressor and then a Tech21 VTDI. Comp takes care of the different attack (in addition to helping the bass sit in the mix better), VTDI adds grit for fingers or pick as required. YMMV.
  21. I think July & August are bad months for selling anything, folk are on holiday or still suffering the financial backlash of being on holiday. September is often a reset, with all the schools back and folk feeling that summer is over (which from a meteorological standpoint and definition, it is).
  22. Another month and I’m still in! Something is wrong
  23. Or Paul and Dave as they probably were back then.
