  1. I can see that too, but as the neck isn’t under string tension, it’s probably the truss rod relief causing some back bow.
  2. I understand wanting to feel that connection with the bass, but once plugged in, the connection is made with the actual output, you probably won’t feel anything from the body once the backline kicks in. However, if you’re going IEM and ampless, this might still be an issue, in which case something like the Backbeat would be worth investigating. Replacement bridge? ^^^ this. The inverse problem is vibration cancellation due to conflicting waves, as mentioned here… If you’re not vibing (pun unintended) with the instrument, move it on, find another that works better for you.
  3. How Much Is That Doggie In The Window - Patti Page
  4. That’s quite the endorsement from a man who has owned some proper exotica.
  5. This echos what I experienced with my old Sandy VM, a shame for such brilliantly built basses.
  6. One shoulder strap appeals to me. I can’t seem to find any site that gives the dimensions, unfortunately and I can’t find it on ESP’s own site, which seems weird. £105 doesn’t seem too spiteful.
  7. I like a midday gig, best of all. No hanging around looking at your watch to see if it's time leave yet, get up, ablutions, breakfast, pack and go. Then it's home before 6 and time to do anything you fancy.
  8. That should be the motto under the BC coat of arms, but maybe in Latin.
  9. You, that ticks a lot of my boxes too. Nickel/chrome hardware and I’m looking for excuses to buy one. Love those Nordy pickups.
  10. Try a soldering iron first, if you have one. It’s more precise in its application.
  11. Does this mean that you used the Sandy for the next set? If so, how did they compare?
  12. I’m going to be the first to say, “Fnarr, fnarr - sticky knob -fnarr, fnarr.”
  13. Wet cloth, soldering iron, steam it out, as suggested by @Mudpup.
  14. I spy swifts on that bass, is that an @Andyjr1515 creation?
  15. This seems to happen a lot, you think you or the band haven't been on point, yet folk from the audience are inversely complimentary; go figure.
  16. Already home from the gig and it was an hour’s drive away. 6:45 start and we were done and dusted at 10:00, proper civilised if you ask me. Great venue in Dundee (Number 57), they have their own PA with remote, tablet control mixer (no being told to turn down here, not our problem). Seemed like a good mix and the customers were in fine form and looking forward to hearing us. I think we gave them a good show, as they were very complimentary. I really enjoyed it, despite the limited space for the band, nice staff (this seems to be a feature of the Dundee gigs I’ve played) and a happy landlord. I’d happily play there again.
  17. Eye Level, by the Simon Park Orchestra, the theme from Van Der Valk. I heard it on the radio the other day.
  18. Who does? Please remember where you are. I have one of those too. I played a gig where I used it for the 1st set and the JMJ for the 2nd - I don’t take it out now and must see about moving it on.
