However, this is what most people use as a measurement of action. I have always used the 15th fret, but that’s for my own reference, when sharing measurements, the 12th fret seems to be the de facto standard.

I’m afraid not. The Vintera comes close, but doesn’t have the custom Seymour Duncan pickup or the nitro finish. -
Line & Let Live is a fabulous album, with decidedly prog leanings in some of the tunes, Ships Just Don't Disappear In The Night as a case in point.

Wise words. Limiting your musical choice will limit your opportunities to play.

One of the best off the peg bass purchases I've ever made. It has transformed my outlook on what I like. I tried one out pre covid and again after the first lockdown, finally ordering one online in Feb 2021. Easily the best, non boutique shorty I've tried and currently my go to bass. The herd is sometimes right and definitely in this case. DO IT! DO IT! -

Jam nights, ads in Joinmyband and Bandmix are the proactive things you can do (I know the last 2 get mixed reviews, but I’ve joined 3 bands over the years from them) and I think Facebook might have something similar.. Don’t be closed off to genres you wouldn’t normally play, they can often be the most rewarding merely due to the new challenge.

Harley Benton. My Mustang-alike PJ was £200 at the time and is even cheaper now.

Don't rule out the Squiers, they often offer a different aesthetic and feel to the Fenders and some here prefer them to MiMs.

Ooh, natural Mustang with black comp stripes, that’d work - well, for me anyway.

Dammit! I knew that too, but I got Dean in my head and it stuck there. I’ll go back and edit to cover myself from more corrections.
