  12. hi there, im looking for any info on how to amplify my martin accoustic bass, iv currently got one of those k max pickups (the three piezo thing that is glued on under the saddle) theyre on bob gollihurs bass site. i cant seem to get a decent sound when i plug into an amp, it seems to amplify every part of the bass body ( fingerboard scratches, string noise etc. iv plugged into my amp via a dave hall bass d.i./e.q. but it still sounds bad. i looked at buying a fishman platinum, but its a costly one if it doesnt work. the bass sounds great unplugged. any info would be great. thanks
  13. no prob , if all else fails and you fancy posting it give me a shout, im still looking. cheers.

  16. hi, this ad was originally looking for a double bass player, but due to lack of response we have decided to broaden our search and are now looking for an electric or double bass player to fill the roll. Its a mixture of bluegrass and celtic, pop, country, and all things rolled in to one. We are based in the glasgow/areas and we rehearse and gig as much as we can, travelling anywhere and everywhere. We like everyone in the band to take solos but its not compulsory, as long as you can lay down a big fat groove . cheers , jimmy.
  17. double bass player req d for bluegrass, celtic, pop, country, original and covers band. gigging and rehearsing weekly. we are based in glasgow but we play and travel everywhere. must be of a high standard. cheers, jimmy.
