  1. Back in the 80's I played in a soul band. We were playing a club that had screens either side of the stage. I looked up from my bass to see every member of the band watching the screens intently. I turned and saw that they were showing the video for Girls On Film.
  2. Good luck if Steven Siegal ever jumps up to play guitar!! 🙂
  3. Yeah, but now you know clearly how sh** you are! 🙂
  4. If you are just talking about practising, at this stage, I might question the need for an amp at all. I pretty much always practice acoustically without issue. Use the saved cash to get a 'better' bass. If you were local to me I would certainly help with a set up, and maybe someone here (who is in your vicinity) will offer.
  5. I guess he didn't succeed, or we wouldn't have the electrical goods shops.
  6. ... but more than one bank account. For me, this one.
  7. Are you near Beachy Head? Of course the real title is 'Why are you still doing this?'. In my case, because I'm not enlightened, and I don't care. Probably an age thing, but I like to have an area on stage I can go to feel the sound. Maybe the day will come but I don't foresee it. Not entirely sure what the requirement is for an IEM set up for 5 with different monitor mixes using a 'normal' mixer with limited aux outputs.
  8. I have basses with both and prefer the Gotoh. The Fender seems to make the bass more resonant but I prefer the design of the Gotoh.
  9. Not sure what tax you mean but air fares are zero rated for VAT.
  10. I had a pair of Aerodyne Precisions. Really nice but found the pickups a bit weak.
  11. I would think 'befriend' is going to be in every dictionary.
  12. SKB. My Precisions all live in them and the bass doesn't move at all in transit. It's the FB4 model you want. The FB is probably significant. I have put a P-bass in a Hiscox and shaken it and the bass moves around. Not so with the SKB - which has a lifetime warranty.
  13. Don't mind at all. It is a staggeringly good bass and incredible value for money. GLWTS.
  14. Its twin is waiting ... 🙂
  15. Rather like the look of the fretless at the top.
  16. Yes. It's always horrible to see it at the top of the topic list.
  17. Only too happy to help, Chris. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Steve
  18. The M-pulse sounds a great option. Give in to temptation, man!! Mind you, a TT-800 into that cab (thinks).
  19. There's always the fall-back method. Look as though you're playing and keep looking at the bass, holding it up and look as though you're trying to figure out why it stopped working.
  20. Let's face it. That's how Free would have done it themselves.
