I have a 1972 bridge on which one of the saddles collapsed. I changed the bridge on the bass and so have a 3 string bridge spare. I would be inclined to keep the 3 remaining screws etc (as spares for one of my other old basses) but I can send you the bridge plate if you want one without the drill holes. I guess you could (with care) swap the screws etc and maintain the string length/height etc. The bass it came off is a bit of a hotch potch of bits (combo of 1968/1972 parts) so I'm not sacrificing a fortune in resale value. Drop me a message if you want me to send it to you.

I was going to post about Lorri Maddox being 13 at the time of her union with Jimmy Page and was looking at the history of the age of consent in the US, not wanting to get things wrong. Rather stunned to read that in 1880, the age of consent was generally between 10 and 12. I then read that, in Delaware it was 7!!!!!!!!!!!!

Choosing 'the one' means a decision regarding two basses. Either 1953 Precision (#0189) or the 1966 slab Precision. It's a difficult choice. Both sounded huge and both were uncomfortable to play for a long period (the edge would dig into my forearm when I was playing). On balance, I guess it would be the 1953 bass. The 66 is very rare but the 1953 has the history and I have a good few Precisions in the post-1957 form. The only picture I have of it, hanging next to my 1966 Jazz (another one that would worth a bit now!!).
