Was the neck an off the shelf item? Can you get the commodity code directly from the manufacturer? I am not sure which code though. The US doesn't use the harmonised codes the rest of the world (pretty much) does. I am guessing it's a harmonised code and they are easy to determine.

6 people have it in their carts, apparently. Yet another bass I should have kept (albeit not this one). I had mine before the internet era and had no idea they were so rare. Sounded amazing but, like all slabs, was pretty uncomfortable to play for any amount of time.

For years and years I tried to track down a Buster head or combo. Fortunately for my back, that particular parcel of GAS has dissipated.

It was quite late on in the 70's when things started going down hill and the boat anchors arrived. 66 to 74 is the purple patch for me, although the earlier of these are getting pretty pricey now - I paid £260 for my '66 about 1983.

The TT-800 manual is a master class in manual writing (as I have said before).

Can you tell where it says that in the manual please? I had a look in mine (out of curiosity) and can't see that suggestion.

Personally, I think it's been explained that all is being sought is the experience of other users. You might want, also, to consider the journey that Dave has been on, to arrive at Handbox's door. It appears that Leszek is being very helpful, and that's good customer service. Certainly better than suggesting a customer lacks skill and/or knowledge.

But hold on here. You're the customer. You have paid out and are unhappy. It's good that you are getting the service you expect but I see no issue at all with seeking the input of other users, with more experience of the amp. I can't imagine there is any reputational damage at this stage.

At least it's arrived. Hopefully the issue will be resolved rapidly. Congrats on the new amp.

SKB FB4. It's the only case I found that you could shake and the bass doesn't move. Not the cheapest option but I tried a good few before discovering them.

Yes indeed. A lot of love on here for those. The guy behind them retired but they are now manufactured down near me by Eternal Guitars. They are a hotter version of a vintage Precision pickup.

From top to bottom it's: Furman power conditioner Korg tuner DBX stereo graphic TT-800 main TT-800 spare The graphic was included because the Bass 400 amps had a graphic eq on them, so I thought to include one (each channel is in the fx loop of an amp) - it's not been used yet. In the back of the rack is a Mike Hill splitter/isolator, so the input is on the tuner, from there to the Mike Hill unit and from there to each of the TT-800s.

They are great, but that's not a rig, it's a trip hazard! 🙂

I tolerate the fact that, as a fingerstyle player, the pickup on a Precision doesn't really come up quite high enough to get a really good anchor for my thumb, without being too close to the strings. It works ok, but not perfect.

The sunburst with maple neck? It's a lovely bass. I'm not usually a maple neck type of guy but really like it. Too many Precisions. Interesting concept. 🙂
