  1. Me too. With one exception, all my basses have that profile.
  2. Of course. Just planting a flag! 🙂
  3. If you get to the stage when you think of splitting, I'll happily take the cab off you.
  4. As you see from my signature, I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Precision player. The Jazz bass I have simply because I'm a sucker for CAR with a matching headstock. It is rarely played and the body shape is really awkward to my eyes. Generally, I find a Jazz neck a bit narrow. That said, the B profile on all my Precisions is only a little wider, but significantly so for me. Similarly, sonically, the Precision does everything I want a bass to do.
  5. If you position the cursor over the heart symbol, you are presented with some emoji choices. You may want to select the thank you one for BigRedX to acknowledge that he answered your question for you.
  6. Lee may be keeping Wilko and Gypie Mayo apart.
  7. Perfect for any Be Bop Deluxe tribute. Charlie Tumahai right there!
  8. Imaginary, I suspect :-(. For the purposes of DID (with a 'c' - naughty old grammar police) she would be my luxury item. She could be my only item.
  9. There';s a great similarity but Wilko took it a step further. Either way, it was an excuse to post a great old Johnny Kidd number.
  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMZiJ-MnjqU&list=OLAK5uy_mlan47NllKtLN1FdwMEwD1HzMaANajKB0&index=34&ab_channel=JohnnyKidd%26thePirates-Topic A great illustration of the great Mick Green, from whom Wilko derived his style.
  11. The capital i if that's what you mean, is 8mm on my 1971 bass.
  12. Wilko Johnson death: Dr Feelgood guitarist dies aged 75 after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer | The Independenthttps://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/news/wilko-johnson-death-dr-feelgood-pancreatic-cancer-b2231269.html
  13. Hi Jason. We have a guy here who knows a lot about Japanese instruments and so he may have some knowledge. There are aspects of that which look familiar, but I can't place it at the moment. Might be worth changing the subject to be something like 'please help identify this' so people know what you're after.
  14. Very well put, and exactly echoes my own experience - over more years than I care to remember. As stated, Andy is a priceless asset to the community.
  15. I'm afraid Kate Bush is already on my island. Sorry. 🙂
  16. Let Mrs Doyle be your guide. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDVCWKx0hIM&ab_channel=BazzartOfOUT
  17. I send mine to Guitarwrist. He makes jewellery, but sells the pieces for charity. https://www.theguitarwrist.co.uk/
  18. That wouldn't work with a proper plug, like we have. 😉
  19. That may be true. However, cables etc in a decent (flexible) bag can fit into odd spaces and help keep other things in place. Not so much in a truck, but certainly in the rear of a splitter van.
  20. This is the Allianz database I mentioned earlier. Missing Instruments | Lost and Found Instruments | by Allianz
  21. Absolutely. I am not quite sure of the meaning of "cheeky quick sale". If there is no commitment to buy then there is no obligation on the seller, save to inform the other party to spare them a wasted journey.
  22. I have already asked Mesa Boogie to produce a TT or WD based pre-amp/DI.
  23. There may be a link on the Allianz website but they maintain a database of stolen gear that is a reference for retailers. Might be worth checking that out.
