At home, I either use a USB powered mixer that has the pc sound going through it (if practising songs) and headphones or, sometimes, an Ampeg Micro-CL stack - mainly bought for its comedic potential. Additionally,. I will often just play acoustically.
I guess we've all had our moments. I have thought myself to have been incredibly fortunate over the years. I am very aware that the operative word is fortunate.
All this is why I find the 'are you a professional' argument so silly. I did music full time for a good while but it's not a sustainable living on its own, not if you want (for yourself, and even more for your dependants) any decent standard of living.
I have two Mesa TT800 amps, two Mesa Subway 1x15 cabs (which don't count, I know), two (identical) SVL precisions, three sunburst/tort/rosewood Precisions.
It was indeed, Mike. It's truly a great bass but I can't justify keeping it, just for its looks etc.
The plan was to buy the SQ Precision on sale here, but it sold recently (after I snaffled the other one).
