Nothing massively exciting. I have a Sterling SUB Stingray that has a Retrovibe Stinger pre-amp and I just thought I'd get a Nordstrand MM4.2 to add to it. Not really necessary as the Stinger does a great job with the stock pickup. I intend to get another SUB and swap out the electrics for the Nordstrand/Stinger setup currently in my OLP. I'll then flog the OLP with the Sterling pre-amp and pickup and include the original OLP electrics too (passive VVT).

Order processed yesterday (first day back after order placed) and delivery just received. Can't fault that.

Mind you, there are others whom I (personally) don't miss in the slightest.

It's heavy going and a more 'usual' style would certainly help but a straight out insult isn't the most encouraging contribution, surely?

I can only offer you this. I have moved from Bass 400 to Bass 400+ (both all valve) to M-Pulse 600 (valve/mos-fet) through to TT800 (valve/digital) without losing my core sound (to my ears). Do not fear the change. Of course, I have kept it 'in the family' so there's common dna, but I have proved (to myself) that you won't lose any of the punch.
