  1. Hmm. Ended because of an error in the listing.
  2. Just bought a patch cable kit from Gareth. Very straightforward transaction and a very pleasant exchange of messages. Just as a transaction should be.
  3. I think both Norm and Guy Pratt regularly use their Bass Collection instruments.
  4. I use a pair of Subway 15's and absolutely love them. I use them in a very old school way (I would say) but they are just awesome at that job. I guess I've had them around 3 years or so (when they first came out). I had a pair of Barefaced Compacts for a while but didn't get on with them. They seemed flimsy and too hi-fi for my taste (or bad ears).
  5. Some years ago I worked with Airto and Flora, on a CD. He turned up with what appeared to be a table of cr@p from a market stall and proceeded to make the most amazing music with it all.
  6. I can vouch for that. The guy is a fantastic writer and the book is both a wonderful dissertation and full of great stories (and opinions).
  7. Not that I do but I'm afraid that reference is already taken. Here in Pompey the good folk of Southampton are referred to as scummers (they call us skates).
  8. Thank you. A seller's worst nightmare when an amp acts up but I am very grateful for your patience and understanding. More than that, I am really chuffed that you are so pleased with the amp now the input jacks have been replaced. Those M-Pulse heads really are awesome.
  9. That's very true. I would think that most of us on this forum operate at a level where any kind of merchandising (including CD sales) will not be economically viable. Indeed, you would have to account for import VAT (and possibly Duty) on goods that crossed into the EU. It starts getting a bit technical but that's probably all you need at this point. It's probably enough to put you off!
  10. Can't have been my first amp (given the date) but I found the bill!!
  11. A Carlsboro Top 100. My first amp was a Top 50, back in the 70's. Through a folded horn cab (I had made) with a Goodmans 18" speaker. Marvellous.
  12. One important thing missing from all this (and possibly the largest) is the fact that some countries have a nil VAT registration threshold (Netherlands, Spain and Bulgaria) and so a single CD sale will require you to be VAT registered there. Performance is different (a service) but goods are treated differently. Spain requires a non-established business to have a (local) fiscal representative appointed.
  13. Here's a link to a specialist carnet business. https://www.boomerangcarnets.co.uk/carnet-document This is what you need to complete This is the front page.
  14. I'm not convinced his suggestion (as I read it) that you need a separate carnet for each piece of equipment is correct either.
  15. Bought a DMX controller from Jason. Deal done on Tuesday and the pedal turned up on |Thursday morning. Can't ask for more. Just got to figure how the bl00dy thing works!! Top basschatter and deal with complete confidence.
  16. Resonant frequency. The guy covers this on his website. It could be what you suggest. Mine rattles too and I can hear it's the truss rod (the website says it's useless anyway).
  17. The link is a mine of information about issues and improvements.
  18. Check this out. https://staggeub.wordpress.com/
