No new offers? Am I missing something? Did I not get the memo that practically pristine sunburst Jazz basses with a rosewood neck are out of favour? Did it turn out it was Jimmy Saville's favourite bass or something? (Saville never touched this btw. Scout's honour.) ((I have never been a scout but still))

Just checked them out, they do look pretty decent but the Fusion looks more like what I need with the internal suspension noodle and all that. Means I can keep pedals or whatever in the other side if I'm not with two guitars. If any other potentials are considering, worth a look. https://www.fusion-bags.com/collections/guitar-gig-bags/products/fg-double-electric-bass-guitar-gig-bag

I had no idea that the forum autocorrected D*ck to Richard =D Amazing.

They're not actually... (not trying to be a Richard, but so as not to muddy the waters) From the FAQs 8. Where are Fusion gig bags made? It’s no secret that our Fusion gig bags are made in China

I hope it's not the one I bought a couple hours ago... =D I've looked into them and been meaning to get one for a while, they look pretty great but we'll see when it arrives. Thomann had a good selection last time I looked, might be worth having a look if not just for research.

I had a 90s reissue, it played real nice (even for a short scale, but I think it was technically mid scale) but the stock pup was a POS. Maybe just due to age. Replaced with a Dimarzio Model One in the hopes of getting a little more range but still nothing. The baritone switch just made it even boomier so my sonic options were BOOM or BOOOOOOOOM. SO in terms of low end, yeah, if that's all I needed, perfect! I thought about modding it and having it routed to put in a bridge pup but figured best to leave well alone and let it go to someone else who might love it for what it was. Now, THIS guy... he has all the versatility and clarity the Rivoli was missing, just I've been playing an AVRI '56 P for so long now, my hands feel more comfortable when they're stretched out. This one feels just a touch smaller than a jazz (you may have noticed I'm also selling a jazz =D ) and I want to be able to switch between basses without an adjustment period. RANT OVER. FANX.

Folks have asked me where this was made: all Newark Street reissues (such as this) are made in Korea. Only the high end Guild acoustics are made in the USA. But for what it's worth, they're owned by Fender so for any wondering whether they're any good, the answer is a firm 'hell yes'. If you've played a Korean made hollow body of any kind you'll know the quality. Plus, Korea have a history of making hollow body guitars second only to those made in 'Murrica. But you're on Basschat. You probably knew that.

Hi hi, Multi-instrumentalist (bass and drums mainly, rhythm guitar, basic keys) available for depping or more regular paid covers gigs. I live near Kingston so if anyone was looking to set up a 3 or 4 piece to play the many venues around those ends, give me a shout =) Many thanks, Andrew www.misowaki.com

My semi-hollow journey comes to an end with this guy. I've had a Rivoli which had no range or clarity, a Jack Cassady which I could never find a sound that fit what I was playing, a Warwick Rockbass that had little depth, an Eastwood classic (which as far as I remember was actually pretty great but it was almost a decade ago) and this guy; the best of the bunch by miles. I just don't get on with short scales and I need to make peace with that. Very versatile, sounds great, huge even. Growl and depth aplenty! I'd keep it for that reason alone if I was in and out of recordings all day but I can't justify keeping it at present and it pains me because my heart pangs every time I pick it up or just stare at it longingly from across the room because that's a totally normal thing to do... Comes strung with TI flats, also have the original rounds that came with (which are basically new). Only ever used at home and rehearsal. Purchased as refurbished from the states. You'll see on the back of the headstock that one of the pegs is ever so slightly wonky, doesn't affect playability but I'm guessing that's why it was sold as refurbished and stamped as 'used' on the back of the headstock. It's barely visible though. Hard case included, still has the tag on it. Keys too (allen and for the case). Trials welcome, collection preferred. Will post at buyers expense and risk. Will consider offers so don't be shy. Although not looking to trade for anything. Any questions, hit me up. My semi-hollow journey comes to an end with this guy. Trade offers: vintage Gibson Rippers or full scale hollow bodies considered. Sandbergs, Yamaha, Lakland, G&L and other similar classic styled basses. Nothing pointy or headless or too niche. Rosewood necks preferred. If we're talking Fender, USA or Japan is good. Perfect Jazz bass, excellent condition. Gigged once. Last iteration before it became the American Professional (but you lot probably know that). I'm just finally admitting I'm a P bass kinda guy. Although this is the loveliest playing Jazz bass I've owned or played. Offers considered, although I don't know why this is still with me. Practically new and less than half price of their current equivalents. One minor ding on the neck (won't come up in photos) and a standard bit of buckle rash. Other than that pretty flawless. Hard case is non-original but it's a case and it's hard. And it's covered in paint and stickers but it'll keep it safe from harm. Collection preferred, potential meet ups and local delivery considered. Delivery at buyers cost and risk. Any questions, please ask.

My ipad's speakers don't work anyway so I'll need the cable either way =)

I was not aware of this. I've got my mum's old iPad and all it gets used for is reading comics. Thanks!
