  1. An English explorer was trekking through a remote jungle with a local wise man he had hired as a guide. Two days into their journey, far from civilization, they began to hear the faint, slow beating of drums in the distance. Dum. Dum. Dum. Dum. The Englishman said to the wise man, “Is that anything to worry about?” “No,” said the wise man, “Drums not bad. Only bad when drums stop.” As they pushed farther into the jungle, the drumming gradually grew louder and faster. DUM-pum. DUM-pum. DUM-pum. DUM-pum. The Englishman felt uneasy and prodded the guide, “Are you quite sure that's all right?” “Yes,” the wise man assured him, “Drums not bad. But when drums stop...very bad.” Farther in, wading through the thickets and bogs of the deepest, darkest jungle, they could hear the drumming becoming more urgent. BUM-chika-chika. BUM-chika-chika. BUM-chika-chika. Before long the drumming had surrounded them, sounding mere inches away, the deafening rhythm accelerating to a frantic pace. BUM-bakka-chika-chika-BUM-bakka-chika-chika BUM-bakka- Now gripped with mortal fear, the Englishman's wide eyes darted frantically in all directions, his heart racing, his body pouring sweat, when all at once the drumming ceased. ...chika-chika BOOOM. Then silence. Utterly panic-stricken, the Englishman gushed, “My God, what happens now!?” The wise man slumped his shoulders, hung his head sadly , and moaned, “Now...bass solo.”
  2. Once took a mate to see his first Dinosaur Jr gig at Newcastle O2. He nipped out for a fag and a bloke exits a side door, my mate had a chat and the bloke duly went back in through the door he appeared from. My mate comes back in and tells me he just had a chat with this old roadie geezer with mad wizard hair.......Later the band took to the stage and it slowly dawned on him!
  3. Back when Red Bull was a small start up company a friend of ours who had a wine import business turned down the chance to become the UK distributor. error!
  4. i'm deaf just looking at it!
  5. Walrus Audio Slo reverb pedal, bedroom use only, price includes postage or you can collect from the Carlisle area.
  6. Hello! any feedback for me and my wares can be left here. Thanks, Joe
  7. I got it second hand, its a 2007 model. It came fretless entirely stock, i sold the neck last year and bought a roasted maple Fender aftermarket neck and hipshot ultralights. The bass is a lot lighter for it and sounds amazing.
  8. Tony Franklin with a roasted maple neck.
  9. Recieved!
  10. Now then, the pedal has seen bedroom use only and works fine. However the LED dims up and down a bit when engaged, i emailed Tom at Cog about this and he said it should be ok but i could send it to him to be fixed if i wanted to. This was a year before lockdown and Tom has now paused Cog effects as far as i know. Anyway price includes shipping or local pickup from Carlisle. Joe TK-421 - DISCONTINUED Punch. Bite. Bark. Anger. Rage. Kill. These are words you will think of when using the TK-421 distortion. More aggressive than the Knightfall at the expense of some dynamic range, and more clarity and punch than the Tarkin while sacrificing the thickness of the fuzz, the TK-421 is a ratty guitar and bass distortion best employed when you want to leave the niceties out of it and get down to the business of killing eardrums. The aim with the TK-421 was to take an already-great pedal and bring it into the now. The famed 308 chip is absent and the circuit is tuned for greater clarity and more low-end retention. The upper-mid snarl you know and love is still there, but the noise has reduced. Smashing. Love the classic 308 and want to sub it in? No problem, the chip is socketed ready for you to experiment... The Tone control has three internally-selectable ranges to provide control over which part of your audio spectrum you want to damage the most, and the choice of clipping diodes is external for easier changes between the two to keep the range of tones broad while the pedal stays small. * Dirt, Diode Selection, Tone and Range interact to provide a broad range of distortion tones on both bass and guitar * 2.1mm Boss-style 9v DC input (power supply not included) * Relay True Bypass * Die-cast Aluminium box
  11. Mint condition, Bedroom use only, price includes postage or local pick up from Carlisle. Mini 66 Bass Overdrive A streamlined version of the two-channel Knightfall 66, the Mini 66 provides simplicity and versatility in a tiny Hammond 1590A enclosure. Don't let the size fool you, this thing sounds massive. The Voice knob of the Knightfall 66 is replaced with a three-position Fat switch, giving control over low end content before the gain stage. Similarly, the Tone knob is replaced by the three-position Cut switch to tame high end post-clipping. The filtered Clean channel of the Knightfall 66 is included, designed to integrate in a more natural sounding way than a typical full range clean signal. With nine different and repeatable settings to use in conjunction with the Gain knob, plus the Clean level knob, the Mini 66 is a huge sounding overdrive in a pedalboard-friendly enclosure. This is absolutely the mini overdrive your pedalboard is crying out for. * Filtered clean blend allows extensive sound shaping in conjunction with Gain, Fat and Cut * 2.1mm Boss-style 9v DC input (power supply not included) * True Bypass * Die-cast Aluminium Hammond 1590A Enclosure

  16. a few years back i bought a Tony Franklin fretless from ebay, to be delivered to the shop i work at. Bass is duly delivered.....in its origional hardcase, not even locked, just a packing slip stuck to the front. By some miracle the bass was still inside the case undamaged!
  17. came up with this today, I called it Fat Tube Pre, the footswitch gives you a woolly lightly overdriven tone by cutting the highs to 1khz and switching to mic input ( similar to Red house on Valleys of neptune by Hendrix) i'm using an American Vintage 60s Jazz with the tone on 1/2, bridge pickup rolled back 1/2. The Aguilar DB 925 is on, bass at 9o'clock treble at 8oclock
  18. i had the old version of this pedal back in the late 90's , bought from Overwater as i remember, should never have flogged it!
