  1. It's interesting what you say about your PEB. I have been told that the quality control there wasn't everything it should have been from time to time. Something you hear much more about CBS era Fenders, but not so much Musicman.
  2. Nice Bass. Can you remember the type of pickup you put on it? And did you mod the tone controls? Like the stickers too!
  3. I don't think I have ever seen Tim Lefebvre slap a bass in my life
  4. And in a 'Weightwatchers' special billing: Lards of the New Church supporting Fat Bot Slim
  5. Still from 'When the Levee Breaks, Playing for Change Vid. Stray Wallace Amp and owner found playing in Kew Gardens!
  6. I have the Noble (see above in the thread) but sadly not the B15 (or the 63 Precision!). I have to make do with a 77, which is lovely, but probably weighs twice as much.
  7. This was the vid and this was how the signal chain was described: "Derek is playing a 1963 Fender Precision bass with La Bella Low Tension Flats and a Nordstrand Nordy Mute. The signal goes through a Noble Preamp DI into a slightly pushed 1970s Ampeg B 15 and then a Neve console. Simple. Classic. Sounds killer".
  8. Re-asking this question...I thought it was a no-no putting a valve pre-amp in front another valve pre-amp....any views out there? I was watching/listening to a vid of a Noble put in front of a B15 with a 63 Precision, which sounded sweet!
  9. I really enjoyed the write-up and the gig sounded great. Am I the only person on Basschatt who doesn't do Spotify though?
  10. Michael Puble (Pronounced the same way, just with a 'P'....try it!)
  11. Not sticking up for Tesco, or any other particular supermarket, but there is a lot of near date food that gets donated by supermarkets to homeless shelters et al. You could say that it would go to waste otherwise, but my experience is that much tastier food gets prepared in the shelters as a consequence.
  12. And for good measure, here's the neck socket of mine
  13. And correction...someone has obviously shielded the whole of the inside which would imply the pickup has been changed, but its the way the shielding overspills the cavity....I don't think it has been re-routed, judging by mine
  14. Here's the inside front of my 77
  15. As the owner of a 77 Leftie, it all looks kosher, except the pick up and control cavity look like they've been routed for different pickups/controls.
  16. I agree with all that. Perversely, as a Lefty, I am curious (and envious) as to what the moollon sounds like (v the vintage sound).
  17. Thanks. And what are the pickups?
  18. What do all the knobs do?
