    2018 Spector Forte 4 JJ DW (with the narrower Doug Wimbish Neck Specs) from the original Woodstock NY, US Custom Shop by Stuart Spector (before they were bought by Korg). Spector marketed this as their no frills USA Neck Thru NS Body which makes it basically a NS2 without the fretboard inlays and additional colour and/or wood options. Serial #179. Comes with the original Spector hardcase and an original Spector Gig Bag. Please see pics. The bass has been used live and in the studio but was always well maintained and cleaned.     SOLD - Well played Fender American Professional II Precision Bass (2020). The original pickguard was changed (original Fender) to a black one. The original V-Mod II Precision Bass Split Coil Pickup was professionally changed to a DiMarzio DP146 pickup. The bass is in pristine/like-new condition but was played of course. In addition the original Tortoise pickguard is included and a Seymour Duncan SPB-1 PJ Pickups Set (1 x splitcoil and 1 x single coil) - see pictures. Price: £ 950 (approx. EUR 1125) plus shipping. The original white pickguard has been changed to a black one and the original plastic potiknobs have been changed to original Fender chrome potiknobs. Everything else is original.     Well I suppose it's a matter of personal preference for all of us isn't it. I think they're two very different instruments. The Bongo 5HH is definitely the best 34" scale 5-string bass I ever had. I just found my personal home with the Lull basses after being endorsed by Spector for quite a long time until the company was bought by Korg. Most of the Lull 5-strings have 35" scale lengths but it doesn't feel like it at all. Still surprised by it to be honest. The only other time I experienced that particular playability with a 35" 5-string was with a US made Lakland 55-02 that I had tested in a shop years ago. So that's my story regarding the "holy grail". For now at least.

    Music Man Bongo 5 HH Harvest Orange incl. Original Hardshell Case. According to the serial number it's from the 1st of August 2022. I bought it in October 2022 and I still have the invoice and cardboard box that it came in. The bass is in absolute meticulous (like new), pristine condition. No damages whatsoever. The plastic film is still on the pickguard and it's stringed with the original factory strings. No neck heaviness due to the new Custom Music Man Tuning Machines that are superior to the old Clover-Style tuning machines regarding the overall balance. Bottom line is you get a top like-new instrument for over 30% less than the current original price. I found my holy grail 5-string bass so I'm considering to sell this one even though I already thought about keeping it.     Well it's the MR5S monorail bridge so the string spacing can be adjusted from 16.5mm to 18mm and/or anything in between.

    The neck is spectacular indeed (if one likes slim and "fast" 5 string necks that is of course)...not a fan of luxury wood either (I like it simple and plain)...but since this custom SR5 was offered to me through a trade I couldn't say no obviously...The craftsmanship is really incredible.
