Warwick Thumbs - mine doesn't neckdive. Is it faulty ?
mikhay77 replied to hamfist's topic in Bass Guitars
I had a 93 thumb BO walnut body and bubinga and it was bob on! Sounds like the NT have a bit of dive? -

Technique and correct set up is key I think! If the action is way high and you have tow rope strings your gonna struggle mostly!
That's like buying a Ferrari and then replacing the engine with a motor from an Austin Allegro. Such a shame.
You mean more reliable? lol
can you get insurance from Interparcel? Last time I used them musical instruments were in the list of exclusions.
I sent a Kelly valve amp through Interparcel and it got badly damaged, got paid out for the insured value. The good thing was the buyer still wanted it! Still use em now!

Having played drums in bands, for me what makes a good drummer is the ability to really lock in with the bass and be able to read whats coming too.In a jam situation during rehearsals it always gives you an insight into ability and where the drummer is coming from. Most songs that bands play( not all ) just require a good 4/4.Solid and on the button.Stick on the radio and listen for half an hour, not even a frickin drum roll!! What makes any good musician in general are these qualities. The flashy stuff is icing! Anyone who has played drums knows its the easiest instrument to play in say a standard ish covers band as a dep, there are no notes to learn if in standard 4. Just stops and a good ear! I have played with really good drummers then thats when you really appreciate their abilities, gigging becomes just easier, tighter, more comfortable and not having to worry! Still one of the big ones, personality. You gotta spend time with these weirdo's. So make sure he doesnt piss in your lager! lol. Ps I now just play my first instrument.Bass! I was never a really good drummer!!

Sorry for the late feedback Waco,he came down from Notts,I picked him up from the station,we had a really good chat and jam.Forgot about the time and nearly missed the train, lol. Spot on Guy and 100% reliable,no haggle paid what I asked, cant say fairer than that. Hopefully you enjoy the bass as much as I did! Do not hesitate to deal with this guy! Thanks,Mike.

Mmm.Dont wanna appear ignorant but its not listed as a Bongo, they even state its not a made by MM so whats the deal? There are loads of copies of famous brands on Ebay but no one seems to complain about the hundreds of Jazz copies sold every week! Maybe I am missing the point or are Fender copies exempt? On the flip side, everyone moans about Mr Hall and his protection of the R brand! I have a Alembic Series one copy.I cant afford a real one and know its a copy so were is the problem?
