The 3rd Mikefest music festival. This year we have more bands and attractions, hopefully raise even more money for Papworth Hospital. This is a free event and money raised is via donations on the day. Raised around £500 last year. All bands giving their time for free. Starts around 1pm and will finish around 1 am. Theres rides etc so child friendly too.Its location is Marquis of Granby,Wellingore.
Thats great to hear, congratulations! I was looking for one for a long time...at least until I got the opportunity to buy an Alembic.
Lucky man, always wanted one, obviously after seeing Mr Clarke.Gigged the bass on Saturday,it really does cut thru. Really happy with it.Would love to have a comparison against the real thing but it does have Alembic qualities I think. Really piano highs and massive tone and sustain, really nice neck and not too heavy. All in all a great player.
Was this the one on Ebay that sold for US$1500 recently?
I saw that one,no,its a guy from Leeds I got it from, with all the bits with it. Its mint, just tried the bass and treble outputs out the power supply, total Clarke sound!

Probably the rosewood fret board was a giveaway, Its a Fernandes Fab-180. Still a very rare bass and as good a player as my other high end basses.
All I got was a pair of socks. Happy birthday and a lovely bass (but will it keep your feet warm?)
Ha ha.Could do in winter.Well seasoned wood! I could chuck it in my log burner!
my search for a bart preamp found your bass.... it looks nice! good luck with the sale (and how do you find the preamp?) Luke
Hi Luke, thanks for the bump. The bart pre amps are very good, especially the 3 band, really quite,no hiss.Run one in my Neuser hence why I got this one,the mid cut and boost is great for the live mix, just dial in and flick the switch etc. Prefer it to my basses with Emg circuits tbh.Slightly smoother, not as bright.Having said that emg's are good too.Was always gonna upgrade the Mec thumb bass with one.

Here is my Bitsa bass, need to shift a few to make room for another. Bought the body off ebay just cause I like the colour, reverse headstock, pearloid markers,3d bridge, strat input jack,18v Bart 3 band eq with switchable mid,Emg vintage pups. Its a real nice player and low action. Not to heavy either. Can post if required. £250

Not to heavy either. Not really after trades. Asking around £325 which is less than the parts cost. Can post if required.

mikhay77 replied to mikhay77's topic in Gear Gallery
I know I dont but I really do need a V8,lol. Kept seeing yours up for sale, just didnt have the readies, will get one me thinks! -
I had a MB 1x12 combo for about a week, sounded great ( in the shop ) first gig had to break out my old cabs out the van, suppose depends on how big the venues are and if you have pa support, certainly wasnt loud enough in a 4 piece rock band in a large ish pub, probably shoulda got a MB extension cab but then realized that big cabs and valve amps is for me!
