4.
Hey Mikhay77, that bass in your picture looks like the handy work of Mathieu Bilodeau. Do you own one? harveyn: good luck with the sale of your bass; it looks like an interesting instrument, but way out of my price range! All the best with the sale.
Ha ha,yes I do own one of Matts bass's (one in my avatar),I think its the only one in the UK!Hence looking at this thread.Matt is a huge fan of CT bass's and like me couldnt afford/find one so calling on his fathers luthier experience started making basses with a influence in design from Carl T. First CT bass I see live was Les Claypool at rock city in 1994,a 6er and 2 4 strings.Strangely he used EMGs pups and circuits in some.So a bump for a CT lover,(sadly out of my price range)and also good luck with the sale too
5. Wow,dont see many of these for sale, calling John the Fisherman, lol
6. Ha ha,great playin and your vids make me smile! Cheers Dude.
7. Bump for trades
8. Here is my trace mini rig, great punchy sound and can get dirty when driven too 240 watt 8 ohm cab really punchy and articulate, not too heavy and classic trace series 6 ah130 head, really great loud head, trades really is a trace 1518c/1048h preferably carpet ones,or another MB large 1x15.Dont wanna split but will if 2 parties interested £160 for cab and £140 for head, drop me Pm's also can post if necessary.Happy new year
9. Sometimes use this for some smaller gigs, sounds great in a pub enviroment, trace blx 150 and trace 4x8 240watt ,small, not too heavy and really cuts through the mix.Ideal for depping, can get this in my supra, unlike the V6,1048h and trace 1x15.ha ha.
10.
Hi All. I used to have a TE rig years ago: AH130, 2103H, 1153 and an SMX compressor pedal. I don't have any pics, but if I close my eyes tight and listen really hard...
Ah yes,my first trace rig too, bought in 1993,sold the cabs a few years ago, still got the head, infact will post some pics now! Thats the kiddie with a mint trace 4x8 V type extension cab, actually gonna sell this rig soon
11. Last price drop bump
12.
Forgot about the trace porn thread, just posted it on show us your rig. Here's mine, moved on some other trace gear so now this is my main gigging rig 1048h+trace 4x8+ ah500 12 smx.It is simply brilliant, the condition and sound of this rig is fantastic, nice highs due to 4x8 but not too harsh due to not much horn used (ooh err) All driven by a classic 500watt trace head with pre valve, mint.Stick my Neuser cloudburst or Bilodeau (left) custom Jazz or Aria SB through it and takes them all to a higher level.A fellow bass player buddy but a double bass through it on saturday,ha he is hooked.
Just added one of these to my collection, what I cant understand is,why the hell I didnt buy one of these years ago. Just sooo much more tonal range than the AH500 12,and thats a fantastic amp too but this has it all, simple to use 3 band eq with adjustable mid shift but its really active in use, lovely rounded tone and wouldnt call it warm but from deep lows too really great highs its crisp and punchy, amazing 6 GE kt88s and 4 vintage mullard 12ax7s,a sound you just cant get from a tranny amp or emulator, add that to a trace 300w 1x15 and 1048h and now I am not gonna look any further.I am a valve convert....... maybe a V8 ???????????
13. Just what it says or if anyone has a bridge emg 40dc for sale, cheers
14.
That's spooky. You appear to have taken those pics against our back door on one of our dining room chairs. How did you do that?
Yeh sorry,I broke in to your house,I thought the lighting was better than mine, lol,ps get some milk choc biscuits in next time, not into the plain choc ones, but did go nice with the nescafe Alta rica though.
15.
Got any more full length pics? Interesting bass.
More pics, sorry camera phone, looks better in the flesh!
16.
Does she have low-Z PUPs like the Gibbie original and if so does she come with a low-Z > hi-Z adapter ? Cheers !
I havent got a meter to check em at mo,(its at work) but me thinks pretty standard hi-zs with split coils, not much electronics in the rear.
17.
He he I still got mine..... (My dad bought me it in 1992!) Many amps have come and gone, but she's a keeper, I still use her a couple of times a week, very cool tone on these if you sort out all the dry solder joints! just had mine done plus new output capacitors, shes sounding pretty sweet and so quiet for an old amp.
Yeh,still may keep it,think this had two new output jacks, thats it!Dont really wanna give it a way but so much gear and somethings have to go,I know, get rid of the Mrs!
18. Price drop to £395!
19. Removing these from my Neuser Cloudburst, these amazing sounding but its not the sound for me so having some made. There in perfect condition, sizes are 100mm x 32mm and approx 25mm deep.Havent got wiring details but available on a pdf from bart.Lovely dark rich tone and due to dual coils they are also tapable.Think there around £120 to £130 each so £75 posted for the pair. Can post.
20. More gear to get rid of.I bought this new as my first proper bass amp in 1993.First was a HH 100,second a laney linebacker. One of my first monthly salary cheques went on this and a trace 2x10 cab.Seems a shame to get rid but its a back up for a back up for another trace and traces dont go wrong.Slightly road worn, been everwhere with me,it will be like gettin rid of a girlfriend, lol.Do not be put off by the 130 watt label.Coupled to 2 cabs and its LOUD.All sliders work etc, slight crackle on pots but will give em a spray with some cleaner,it hasnt been used for a while.Lookin for £200 ono, collect or can post
