  1. looks like a pirate treasure map, like the one on the Goonies (other pirate based treasure maps are available)
  2. It's posts like these that make made me feel i was seriously missing out in not having a P bass, so i got one, and its OK it sounds pretty good but it has that one sound and not much else. prefer my Jazz and My new Ibby. would i miss it if i did not have it? i play it because its there, but its not my go to bass. Could sell it but its a Noir limited edition with upgraded Emg geezors so think it will mature in price if i hold on to it.
  3. Roto 66 nickels are my favorite strings, warm not to bright and good clarity.great on any bass but really great on my Jazz.
  4. maybe next year they will do a Black current and liquorice flavour, or a rhubarb and custard
  5. Look like a warm green, better in natural l light, not that we get much natural light this time of year, I'll take a few more pics.
  6. that's what made me buy it.
  7. Andertons, £849 was £899 got 2 left now, there usally like £1100 plus. Couldn’t help myself.
  8. Plays as good as it looks, first Ibby tried a few cheaper ones in past and they felt a bit lightweight and a bit like, for want of a better word toys, tried the natural coloured one in Gear4 in york and thought having this, but had to be the Mojito which looks a bit like a chocolate lime sweet. Been playing on it since i got home.
  9. Does what is says on the tin, never been out of the house, home use hardly ever used, 10 months old all firmware and updates. All original packaging and power supply Collect or post at buyers expense (£10 ish)
  10. Compression is a funny thing, i never really understood fully or worked out what it did, tried a few compressors and patches on my Zoom. But then i got a seymore duncan studio bass compressor and its set at around 10 o clock, attack and blend about same, volume/level to suit, and it works great, just rounds off and emphasizes the individual notes a little better. Funny thing is i was playing the other day and some thing was not quite right, though i was i little out of tune or there was some drop in sound thought maybe a connector jack was loose, then i realized the compressor was not on, turned it on every thing fine. Think its one of those things once you get it set up right for what you want you do not notice it until its not on.
  11. PM'D Work in York see message
  12. Where are you based, i am very interested.
  13. Bump thought this would have flown by now.
  14. Spector legend classic 4 string, black cherry burst EMG soap bar humbucker pickups 2008 model. Some minor scratches and scuffs as been well used bass. Comes with gig bag. Mid Yorkshire, collect or local meet up. no trades
  15. don't rotosound make there own strings at their own factory, they are similar sounding and feel.
  16. Happy so far, good tension without being too tight, tried DR steels once and they were like cheese wire,. The clarity on these is very very good, they sound nice and bright but not stupidly bright, just a bit worn in straight out of the packet, hopefully this will last. Better assessment will be after they have been on a month or so.
  17. ordered them sSunday so hopefully here when i get home wang them straight on the bass tonight if so.
  18. Tried super brights once, way too bright for me on my Jazz bass, but nice on my Spector with the twin humbuckers.
  19. Currently ysing rotosound 66 nickle, get 3 months out if them. Love a well broke in set on my Jazz bass, thoght i would try something else.
  20. Decided to take a ount on a couple of sets of these strings. SS Rounds snd a set if Nickle rounds. Anybody have experience of these.
  21. Great tune great band, reminds me of being 7 year old listening to this on the street corners of council estates, with my older sister older cousins and friends.
  22. Is this enough pickups and necks.
  23. yeah probably the silver ones 35's
  24. yep sound great but its a distorted bass sound, and that's not for everyone. I have a Fender P and its ok, but not my favorite bass sound, my jazz and spector sound better.
  25. did not know this, i have a spector with twin soapbars assumed they where humbucker types, may take the covers of to have a look. If its true that is kind of disappointing or not, depends what we you look at it, as they do sound good.
