  1. Two notes LeBass great Tube ore amp I’ve just upgraded to the new Revolt pedal so looking yo get this to a good home.
  2. Well who was it that “quoted” they don’t like Nathan at Andertons fiddling with his knobs 😂
  3. The over fiddling with the knobs!
  4. Thats the bit i don’t like 😂
  5. When he was in (founded) Sigue sigue sputnik he played “space guitar” my maybe its that 😉 he always used to play a Thunderbird in the Original generation X and when he played with Sisters of Mercy.
  6. PRICE DROP £150 Le Bass pre amp and drive pedal with built in tube drive 2 channel plus 3rd option of hot/cold fusion if both channels channel A Clean with very light warm Tubey grit Channel B light overdrive to full on distortion. cold fusion blends the two together, fusion button mixes the channels preferences to suit. Hit fusion A drives B the fusion then controlled how much. This is best option for big fat warm tube drive and increased grit. Di and amp sim out midi control send return. Amp in a box or just straight up distortion. local pickup or meet up. I get around through work so please ask as i can offer delivery.
  7. No noise on my new one. Not that i can detect.
  8. Last dedicated Compressor pedal I had was a Seymour Duncan studio bass , decided to ditch it (regrettably) when I went to the Helix Stomp. Love the Stomp and the Compressors are good but ultimately feel too digital and just more of an affect. So decided to look at a dedicated compressor again. Wanted the Cali but just could not justify the price as I’m just more a hobbyist and occasional jammer nowadays. Looked at the Boss and the Mxr (which both looked good value) also the Jam pedals which is a two nob compressor which felt too simplistic and I am a fan of Jam pedals. Then Saw the Keeley which had great reviews and it was on sale at a bargain price if £125 brand new (£199 usually) from a place I’ve not heard of before called HotRoxuk. Great fast postage and tracking from them will be using them again. Plugged it in everything at noon, threshold, gain at zero/unity compression 4:1 at noon, twiddled about a bit sounds fantastic, transparent nor tone loss, just a bit of squish when digging in hard, just what i always wanted, totally dynamic and not to fast not too slow response, even at full infinity it never really squashed the sound too much. Have it set at threshold about 11.30 -45 gain about 12.15-30 compression 4:1 12 i clock and that’s it might need slight tweaking on different basses but marginally. Great pedal and almost the definition of what a compressor should be. Could not recommend it enough and at that bargain price ( still a few left) disclaimer: i have no affiliation with Hit rox uk! https://www.hotroxuk.com/robert-keeley-bassist-bass-compressor-kbass.html
  9. Surprised people ate saying its a Rat. my instant thought it was a Russian muff down tuned. maybe due to listening through phone speakers!
  10. Moved them on, replaced them with some Newtone SS rounds. Happier now. want to like flats but also want to like single malt scotch, but sadly neither are for me.
  11. SOLD Jazz flats for sale. £40 new. Been on my P/J for 2 weeks home use only. Cut for P J head type as photo. pretty much new. Flats just not for me, better use to someone who appreciates the Flat style tone. price includes postage.
  12. I forgot to mention the tension, oh the tension could have used the bass at Agincourt or Crecy
  13. I’ve tried flats various brands and types over the years and never really liked them at all. recently against my better judgement I decided to put some Rotosound jazz flat’s on my Fender P/J and to my surprise I still don’t like Flats, been on 2 weeks took them off and put done Steel rounds on and keerrpoowww dynamic power. I’m sure Flats are just fine for some people but to me they’re just like chewing on a sticky toffee that just sticks to your teeth. anyway if anyone wants a set if Hardly used flats bargen to be had, they will be on the marketplace very soon.
  14. Misread that at first, when you said need a semi!!!
  15. Epihone - Gibson Les Paul standard 2015 model (purchased 2017) in Ebony, only used at home. Some very minor signs of usage and a couple of very slight scuffs (magnifying glass stuff) otherwise excellent condition. These equivalent are over £500 new now. Collect or can arrange drop off/meet up I get about a bit at work so feel free to ask.
  16. i’m using the old calendar 😉
  17. Think its one of those love or hate colour choices, wasn’t sure myself but luckily love it in the flesh.
  18. Grestch 250th anniversary special. Teated myself to a new 6 string, now i’m not much of a guitar player but i enjoy a Jam/fiddle around, but as my old Epiphone les Paul std as a few iffy parts that need replacing, saw this and thought take the plunge.
  19. Adam was of course a Bass player, if any if you get chance listen to the demos in remastered KOTWF and Prince Charming, Just Adam in Bass and Marco in guitar with drum machine. as Huge as Adam (and the Ants) were at the time I think they are now underrated, maybe because They (Adam and Marco) went too Pop oriented and once the zeitgeist had gone were not taken seriously.
  20. Another good starter preamp
  21. Highly recommended, Real Tube two channels A clean B drive. In Parallel cold fusion hot fusion A drives B, gives you 4 sound options in the same setting. Been recently superseded by the Revolt but still some new out there and second hand
  22. Love my Le Bass, can be a straight up preamp, clean or gritty amp in a box, subtle or out n out distortion, had many pre amps and this is the best.
  23. I sold kev the bass, i told him about the battery which he has done which as fixed the volume problem, but he still says he is getting some line noise, told him to switch amp to active aa the Aquilar pre amp us powerful, but his amp inly as a passive input. I gad no issues with any nouse on the bass running into Helix stomp into Le bass pre amp into powered cab, i’m sure its a line input issue. Bought the bass from Andertons which is not too far for him so suggested he take it there and explain the problem and try it on a different amp. but it would be helpful if anyone on here can suggest what the noise issue is.
  24. Might have yo get this, I’ve got the LeBass and its my main preamp, amp in a box pedal. The channel 1 clean channel is superb, i bought it for the dirt channel but hardly use that, although it is great, like it clean or on Hot fusion with a bit of grit from channel 2 this looks like it expands on that.
  25. Was expecting cliched cheesy c**p decided to give it a whirl, really enjoyed it, certainly Lydon is played as the fool at first, but comes out pretty good by the end. its well worth the watch.
