1.
BUMP! and now open for trade offers.
What are you interested in as trades?
  2.
Just been offered an insane deal on 2 DB410's! One shop gave me £999, the saw £963 online Then got offered 2 for £1350! That sounds like a good deal to me! Tony
Where did you get that deal from?...Me wants too!
  3. I was wondering if it would be possible and how much money it would cost re-carpeting a 212 bass cab...not sure if re-carpet is the right word Has anyone done it? Do you know of anyone in the Brighton area that could do the job?
  4.
But chocolate thunder is sexier! And more chocolatey! And that's never a bad thing
Yes but I'm more of a "Classic" person
These were mine originally. Ordered fresh from Aguilar. Higgie is a pleasure to deal with. The DB212 is my favourite cabinet. I now have one classic black 4 ohm version. I wish I'd never sold these...
OK then, easy solution here: what about I buy your Classic black cab and then you buy Higgie's rig back?
  5. For sale 4 unit rack case, used but in good condition. £45 Collectiom from Peacehaven or happy to post too.

    New Zoom B3
Quite worried now that they've pulled down the original video, and uploaded a new one with the bit saying 6 at a time cut :S
I've just seen the new edited video, I guess that's not good news then ...On Samsontech's website they still have the original though.

  9.
spot on, 3 quality tracks, kind of band i'd love to play for
Cheers!...I love playing on this band!
Great tune...you managed to get my attention away from Alan Brazil on talk sport this morning whilst eating my breakfast...not many can do that..;-) Wish I could jump around like your front man...if I tried that I would undoubtedly end up on my arse..haha.
Thanks!...I can't do the jumping either, too old for that OK then, here we go, one more song from the same gig, this song is called "Fail To Be"
  10. Seriously good bit of kit!...I'm loving mine and so do my bandmates Good luck with the sale.
  11.
Good news. I'm searching for my first 5 strings and have a preference for smaller spaces. Two more questions, just for information for now... Would you send it in France ? And, where was this beauty built ?
PM Sent, check your mail
  12.
700w between the pr and I run with a 550w amp. The sound is great..and as I said, is far better -for me- than the 2 Berg 112's I also use but the DB's relegate these to a B rig. Tight low B which fills the rooms but never boomy or bass heavy..it is just FULL. The cabs have nice highs and a mid presence..which I think is the DB cab bias, and I have no hankering for a 115 at all. The only cab I would think I would replace them with MIGHT be a Berg NV610 but that has no tweeter. In fact, I wouldn't get rid of the DB's..I would add the NV610 to my choice of rigs depending on the stage and gig, but that also depends on whether the Berg has the higher end that I think I'd want. But at £800 for a cab SH, which I would use, maybe 5-6 times a year at my current gig level..?? maybe GAS is ruling my head. If Aguilar did a DB610 with a horn I would probably be all over it.... more so that the Berg...but that is based on hearing Berg NEO 12's not the NV/HD version. I have my amp in for service so maybe I'll check with you later about meeting up to demo these configs if you still have them.. unless you have a decent room to run them in. Might need to get to Horsham soon-ish..
I'm sure we could meet up at some point, where are you based?
Just going to throw my 2 cents in here - I was severely underwhelmed by the DB cabs, and was really disappointed to be. Love their look! If you've found you're liking the bergs why not just get some smaller bergs to make things more portable?
I thought about Aguilar cabs as I think they will work well with my Aguilar DB750 amp and because they are more traditional/vintage sounding I believe. Smaller Bergantino cabs seem to be a bit more modern sounding...I like the NV cabs but there's only the 610 and 412.
About 6 years ago I owned 2 GS112 cabs and I thought they sounded great. In spite of that I moved to Bergantino cabs because they were lighter, had a tighter bass tone and Mark was running a special offer! I love my AE210's (very clear and punchy) but don't play them enough, instead I usually gig with 1, 2 or 3 AE112 cabs. They still sound fantastic but only weigh 30lbs each. I’m afraid with my back that has become the deciding factor. Many of the players I rate seem to be using Aguilar so if someone else was humping the gear I would certainly check out their DB210 cabs. But then again If I could lift an NV412 I'd probably keep that. Get a trolley!
Thinking of keeping the NV412 already to be honest
I've just reread the OP and how loud is very loud? You don’t have many Aguilar alternatives. A DB410 is only 10lb lighter than the NV412 so there's no point in changing to one of those. A DB212 weighs 70lbs but that's only half the air that you’re used to moving. If you like the “power” of your current rig you’ll probably find you’ll need 2. 2 DB210 cabs won't be as loud and 112's just won't keep up, so how loud do you need to be? Also good used Aguilar cabs don't come up very often, so if you're looking at new, 2 DB212's would cost rather a lot.
I know they are expensive cabs and not many used ones around I'm liking the idea of maybe 2 DB210s or a DB210 + a DB115. Would it be much difference in volume to what I already have? The Bergantino is rated at 800 watts 103 db The Aguilars - DB210 350 watts 98 db - DB115 400 watts 96 db
  13.
Nice one, really lovely.
It really is a lovely bass, thanks.
Do you know string spacing ? (I shouldn't ask !)
String spacing, I believe is 17mm, strings are a tiny little bit closer than one my jazz bass
  14. This cab was gone but buyer has pulled out so back up for sale again.
  15.
Absolute quality! Alter who??? Killswitch what?? :-))
Thanks for your comment! More here, let's see if you also like it...This our gig opening song, "Siren"
  16.
A 210 and 115 was in my thinking but the DB115 is a BIG lump and it wouldn't fit into my car very easily at all... so I went for 2x210 which sound GREAT to me and I am very pleased I made this decision. I don't think I have lost anything at all by going this way... and altho I tried the 210 and 115 config with SWR (sold it due to the size of the 115) ..and it was a great rig, IMO, The DB cabs are better.
How do you find two 210 work? What's the total wattage with both cabs?
I might be looking to move on my DB212's, and was probably gonna let one go first, so if you're interested, PM me
Thanks Higgie. What are you replacing them with?
  17.
I kinda wish I still had my two DB212s...I sold those to Higgie to get the 4 ohm single DB212. I'd quite like another pair haha.
I'd love two DB 212 at 4 ohm but that might be a bit too much? What about a 210 + a 115?
  18.
I really enjoyed that. Killswitch Engage better watch out! Did you win?
Thanks!...Yes, we did win! ...and another one from the same gig, "Lie To Me" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVc9uxt3l74&feature=share&list=ULjVc9uxt3l74
