1.
The 12s have only run out of juice once for me, at a big (by my standards) 1000+ venue. I know Higgie says the 212s have a lot more bottom, and if I was running a DB750 those would be the ones I'd go for. In tweed, of course.
My amp is a DB750 and I also think I might go with 212s, perhaps one now and, maybe if needed, a second one later?
NV412 has to be closer to 1200w rated..???
It's rated at 800 watts rms
....I am thinking I'd indulge myself in a DB750 and 610 of some sort... for handful of gigs per year.... but then I come to my senses, but it is still GAS Peacehaven is about 50 miles from me.... maybe we can hook up and try and the DB's amps and cabs ... I have 2 cab configs that I would I love to run a DB750 thru....???
That was my rig, DB750 into a NV610, sold it and I now run it into the NV412 We can defnitely talk about it and see if we can meet up!
i used to used pau's db750 with my old 610hlf and the volume it would put out was silly! 750w through a 412 the volume would be silly! so i can see why the 2x112's might be not enough if he was used to that! andy
That's exactly my point!
 2. Killing Vegas @ Horsham Battle Of The Bands 2012 Final, the song is called "Down"
 3. Thanks for your input guys. I have the feeling that 2 DB112 is not going to be enough coming from a 700 Watt Bergantino cab? So you all seem to prefer 12" over 10" speakers?
 4. At the moment I'm using a Bergantino NV412 with my Aguilar DB750, the tone is unbelievable and the power and note weight is immense but I like the idea of making the rig a bit more portable. I have been thinking about swapping my cab for a pair of Aguilar DB cabs but I'm still trynig to decide which cab combination, so I can take one or two cabs depending on the gig. I can't try any Aguilar cab so I wanted to know if the sound of these cabs are in any similar to Bergantinos NV What will I loose or win if I decided to go for it What cab combination would you recommend? I need pleanty of power, we are a very loud band I'd really appreciate your advice. Thanks!
 5.
Just curious - would you be prepared to post this at £1100 as well?
PM Sent
 6.
Spectacular basses these. I had a cheaper forerunner of this bass, an APB-5, and it was pure magic. This one must be sublime.
They are great, great instruments for sure! Versatile and incredible sounding.
 7.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the FB4 is one of the great basses. Every bassist should own one at one point in their career C
They are great basses indeed!
This is porn to me.....absoloute filth. I'm temted to rob old women to pay for it..... Their easy pray.
I won't say a word if you decide to go ahead and do it

 9.
It has to be built later. Modulus didn't start using truss rods until -99, I believe.
Sorry, my mistake, I have just double checked and according to the serial number it was made on 1999
 10. Up for sale it's my Modulus Flea Bass, from 1999. Bartolini Pickup and Aguilar OBP-1 Preamp. The bass is in very good condition, signs of use as you would expect on an instrument of this age but nothing really important. Great player and great tone to it. £1100. Bass can be seen/tried on Peacehaven or I'm happy to post it too.
 11. Arnaud bought a set of EMG Pickups from me, excellent communication throughout and paid instantly. A highly recommended Baschatter. Thanks and I hope you enjoy the pickups.
 12. Played the "Horsham Battle Of The Bands 2012 Final" on Saturday evening and...we won!!! It was a great gig, a good crowd that really got into our music, lots of good comments and the best part, we score the highest on the judges score sheets.
 13.
...If you don't want to roll off one of the volumes to find a sweet spot then you could try selectively adding mids with an outboard eq or at the amp.
Well said, that's exactly what I do, I boost mids on my amp and the tone is just there!
....I met a player a few years back who used a Geddy Lee Fender Jazz. I know it has slightly different pup positions, but the growl he achieved was just crazy. It absolutely stole the show in terms of tone...although they were a bass dominant band with the guitars being audible but not the usual overbearing volume. He used a fairly normal 4x10 and amp, but the pedals he used (including a Sansamp) must have been setup to really push an aggressive tone. It was the perfect Jazz tone.
For the past few years I have been using a Geddy Lee bass , I replaced the pickups with Dimarzio Model Js, together with a Sansamp Bass Driver and some mids boosted on my Aguilar DB750 and the tone is inmense, everywhere we play I always have other bass players commenting on my bass tone and how I achieve it..Plus through th sansamp all effects, specially distortions, sound so much better!
 14.
Beautiful! My YOB too!
Thanks, it is a lovely bass
