2.
Anything that shows people playing bass goes! One of my faves, this guy's an awesome bassist and he holds some serious groove even through the fast sections: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zqV2ymf4-k
Surprise someone here knows about Fernando Lamadrid, he's a very talented Spanish bass player, he was on this year's Todobajos Bass Day in Madrid and was the winner of the best up & coming Spanish bass player...check out his other videos.
 3. Loving this band at the moment, definitely have a listen to Jurassik Funk, highly recommended! http://www.jurassik-funk.com/
 4. Superb cab, I've been using mine for a few years now and I couldn't be any happier: excellent sound, lots of punch, powerful and easy to move around....what else can you ask for? By far the best cab I've ever used. Good luck with the sale!
 5.
ah ok so probly better off in a 4 u? but the actual size is a 3u? cheers for the reply dudeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Yes
 6.
alrite guys, just wondering what size rack case is the right one for a ampeg 4 pro. i think its the 4u rack case? thanks
The amp itself it's a three rack space unit but mounting it on a 4U case will allow for more air flow, better ventilation.
 7. I have never used these strings myself but I have a friend that has been using them for a while and he says they are really good...I'm gonna buy myself a set and check them out. Another video demo here: http://www.aurorastrings.es/videos.html
 8. Left/right hand exercises and fretboard learning: extended arpegios, scales.... Getting my slap technique up to speed. Also, learning a few basslines from this band I've just discovered, Imperial State Electric: Yeah, it's only rock'n roll but they have really good basslines. Their album "Imperial State Electric" is great.
 9.
....I'd just like to thank the person who bought the SVT5 for averting meltdown in my bank account!
Thanks Dood, you are welcome
 10. People buy with confidence, Simon is a top man and really knows his stuff when it comes to Fenders. This morning I had a chance to see this '66 Precision at his place and...oh my god, it's a trully beautiful bass! If I had the monies I would have walked out with this one instead of the '75 P bass. Good luck with the sale Simon.
 11.
I can't believe I missed this one: I'd have sold my Grandma for it...!! Has it definitely gone, Simon...?
Yes, I can tell you for sure it's definitely gone
 12. I met Simon this morning, I went to his place to pick up my new gorgeous black & maple '75 Fender Precision. Buy with confidence people he's a true gentleman. I really enjoyed all the chat we had about Fender basses, even more seeing and getting to play some of the basses in his collection....and he makes the best coffee ever! Thank you very much Simon, it's been a pleasure!
 13. Another vote for the Protec Contego, in my opinion better than it's rivals and cheaper! Regarding the neck protection they now also come with a neck pad for more support. I bought mine from here and received it in 4 days, great service: http://www.thomann.de/gb/protec_contego_e_bass_case.htm
 14.
So to sum up, we have an 'S9' serial on the headstock - which could date anywhere from 1978 to 1981, and pot codes from 1980 and 1981. I'm gonna take a wild stab in the dark at 1981!
+1 The bass is definitely not a 70's, pots and serial number indicate it's an 80's instrument.
 15.
That is in .mp3, they're 1GB each in .wav, getting 600Mb of files onto a free (legal) file sharing service still isn't a cakewalk in the tea park.
Dropbox maybe? https://www.dropbox.com You open an account and it gives you 2GB storage space for free. You upload the files and then you share the folder with the pepople that asks you for the files. I already have an account with them and it's very handy for large files.
 16.
Goodo, I'll start figuring out a way to share them on the internets (3 files 234Mb each minimum.....should be fun). In the meantime this may interest you.
Link not working.
 17.
Probably a very select audience, but I demuxed Oceansize's Feed To Feed DVD's, so I've got the bass, drums, and vocals track for the first 3 albums and Music For Nurses. They're very useful for figuring out the songs, because the bass is very audible, but the drums and vocals help you keep place in the song too. Let me know if anyone wants them and I'll figure out a way to make them shareable.
Definitely interested.
 18.
Still got this? If you can mail it to Italy, it's a deal.
PM sent
 19.
Hi, I did some work on a svt 4 this year and though it was a different fault it was a bad solder joint which having trawled through numerous forums seems to be a common problem on these, even though ampeg themselves dont seem to aknowledge this problem. Its the first place I'd look, though it ca be a time consuming process. Also make sure all the efects send and return sockets are clean and not causing problems. Check the fuses too as if it were a problem with the mosfets they would uaually blow. Look for the simplest solution first. Good luck cheer Just
Thanks for the advice, I'll check everything you've mentioned.
