Anyone interested? I'm selling my American made Ampeg SVT Classic amp, not many of these around anymore. In mint condition and perfect working order, always mounted on a flightcase.... You know the deal with this amps, they are tone monsters! and this particular one sounds way better that some others I've played through. Comes on a heavy duty, interior padded to absorb any impacts, custom made flightcase from the Flightcase Warehouse...bombproof. Pics, any discolouration, white effects, is just the camera, the amp is as you would expect.

Pedaltrain Jr & Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2
PauBass replied to PauBass's topic in Repairs and Technical
I've just posted this picture on the pedal boards thread. I think this is a good solution:
Wow, good work there. How do you access the main power inputs? The ones at the back of the power supply? -
I want to install a VodooLab Pedal Power 2 underneath my Pedaltrain Junior. The only way to do it is by drilling two wholes on the back plate of the board so I can access the power inputs. Does anyone know where can I take it to have it drilled? Would it be expensive?

Up for sale these two great pedals: - Xotic Bass BB Preamp. Another great pedal, also in mint condition and working perfectly. From subtle to full on overdrive, some people agree it's more natural sounding than the famous VT Basss and better alternative to the Fulltone Bass Drive... Selling becuse I don't have the need for it any more, I get my overdriven tone from my Mesa 400+. SOLD Delivery included. - Malekko B:ASSMASTER, silicon version. In mint condition and perfect working order. Box and Manual included, even the pressie it came inside the pedal case is still there...see pics and it will make more sense Funny peolple, the guys from Malekko. One of the best Fuzz/Distortion pedals in the market but I'm not using it and I'm sure someone will make good use of it. SOLD P & P included.

Are the Gramma pads useful as well on wheeled cabs? I remember reading somewhere that the wheels and the rubber feet already provide some isolation but I'm not sure if this he case or not...Any ideas? For a Bergantino NV610, I'll be looking at the Gret Gramma, right?

I've just adquired a Mese 400+, I collected it yesterday eveningg, and I've just tried for the first time. I've come accross afew things that I don't really know if they are usual/nomal on this amps. here we go: - When I turn the amp on from Standby, with master and volume all the way down, I get this pop/rattly noise, a bit loud, and same thing happens when going into stanby mode. This doesn't happen at all with my Ampeg SVT head. - I've notice there is a big difference in volume between channel 1 and 2. With the Master at 5 and the Volume on 4, channel 2 is twice as loud as channel one, big difference in volume, with channel one the amp doensn't get that loud even if you go up to 10. - One of the valve lights up less than the rest of them. Please, Mesa Owners or those of you that have owned this amp, are this issues normal on this amp?

I'm looking for a rolling rack case for my Mesa 400+ which is 4 rack units..Will it fit in a regular 4U rack case? I've seen these three so far: http://www.gatorcases.com/Default.aspx?Sec...;CatalogID=9717 http://www.skbcases.com/music/products/pro...;c=117&s=80 http://www.themusicking.co.uk/4u-abs-rack-...egrated-trolley Which one offers better quality? Any other recommendations? Thanks!

Matt, what a great guy to deal with. I got a Sterling HH from him and the bass is lovely, exactly as he described it...it's a real beauty. Always a pleasure Matt and I hope you enjoy your new Precision.

Any experiences wit this amp paired with Bergantino NV cabs? I'm using a Berg NV610 and I'm wondering if it would be a good match for this cab.
Many thanks for all the offers, but now traded with Pablo... Great to meet you Pablo, hope the foots ok!????!! Regards Matt
Great to meet you too Matt! My foot? I went to A&E as soon as I got back home and I have two broken toes so I guess I'll have to rest for a while...not a bad thing, plenty of time to play the Sterling Lesson to be learn here: If you get up in the middle of the night to use the loo, turn the lights on, otherwise you have a good chance of walking into that basscase you left in the corridor the evening before and end up with a few broken toes.

Yes guys, I agree with you, I don't think Ashdown amps are bad, in fact I remember a few years ago I had one of their older ABM combos and I really like the sound plus I've seen a few bands live using them and the tone was good. I'll probably pop in to GAK check the mesa stuff and maybe if they have one in the shop a Orange bass Terror. I'm quite keen on Genz Benz becuase I can get one at a really good price and I like the two blendable channels option... Does any of you know if the GBE 750 will be a good match for my Bergantino NV610?
I think you should specify what kind of tone you'd like from the more portable head and the budget... I have an Ashdown ABM which I love, but that'd be the choice for a similar tone character, which is not what I guess you want. For a more hi-fi (I'd prefer to call it "transparent") choice, you might want to try David Eden (expensive though), "our" Mark Bass (too "transparent" for my taste but well built), Gallien... for a good-value-for-price choice I'd go for an Ashdown, unless you hate their tone... I've never tried one, but I know that the MarkKing Ashdown head is more on the clean side than their other products. Since you have the VT pedal you might also consider to buy just a power amp as well, though it's not that easy to find a good and really portable stand-alone PA
Well, I still want that kind of warm tone so I'm also considering an Ashdown ABM head, I'm not really into Hi-Fi sounding amps. Any idea if Ashdown heads go well with Bergantino cabs?
