Is that a Fender Aerodyne?
3. Great post this one guys...I love funk! I know most, if not all the bands/bass players, that have been mentioned throughout the entire post and I really enjoy listening to their music but I was also wondering if you guys could recommend more current/contemporary funk, or funk variations, bands. I really dig bands like Lettuce!, Incognito, Jamiroquai... any more bands out there you'd recommend?
4. I'm using Comfort Straps with Schaller straplocks, they work fine for me and make my 70's Jazz Bass feel lighter. I'm thinking of trying a Brooklyn Gear strap but I can't seem to find them... for those who own one: where did you get it from, please?
5. Hey Keith... Thank you very much for such an easy transaction. The bass is awesome! Guys, don't hesitate Keith is a top guy, excellent communication and knows how to pack a parcel well! It's been a pleasure mate. Cheers!
6. It doesn't seem to work thatt well with Windows Vista but it works great on XP and Macs... any takers? Price reduced to £70.
7. Mike bought my original Marshall Guv'nor and I can asure you he's a top guy. Very fast, easy and smooth transaction, paid instantly. Hope you enjoy the pedal
8. What a great bass! The ATK I bought from Simon it's awesome and in perfect condition! Very easy and pleasant transaction... Bass arrived safely, very well packed. Thanks, really enjoying the bass Simon.
9.
Now that is a SWEET colour combination on that Jazz! Is it a reissue, original or a mix of parts?
Glad you like it... I'm in love with this baby It's an all original '78 Fender Jazz Bass Not many around on this colour combination. Plays like a dream and sounds even better!
10. Maybe a Boss bass Eq? http://www.bosscorp.co.jp/products/en/GEB-7/ You can boost your signal and also further Eq your sound for the solo parts. I'm using one and it does the job perfectly. You should be able to find a second hand one for reasonable price.
11. Bought my Korg metronome: execellent communication and very fast payment. Great guy to deal with. Thanks Shaun!
12. If it was me I'd recommend the Sansamp Para Driver over the BDDI, very similar units but the Para Driver has the mid controls, mids and mid frequency, which makes a whole difference. The BDDI soops a lot the mids and makes your bass dissapear on a band setting whilst, with the Para Driver and the mids control, you can avoid that scoop and bring the bass more upfront. I have also owned the MXR and I found the clean channel very useful but I didn't like the distortion because of the preset Eq curved. No experience with DHA but between the other two units I'd go with the Sansamp Para Driver.
13. Wow, what a great guy! I bought his Demeter Compulator and and what an excellent transaction. All I can say about him is good: He's pleasant, communicative and the item was delivered next day, extremely well packed and exactly as described. He even offer me a full refund if I had any problems powering the Compulator. Highly recommended to everyone, you won't be dissappointed with Dave, he's a top guy! Thanks mate.
14.
Ill take that metronome please.
That was quick! Metronome SOLD. Tuner still up for sale.
15. This two units have been sitting around my flat for quite a while now, I don't use them at all so they need to go to a new home. They are both in perfect working order and they are two very useful bits of kit. As seen on the pictures, they both come boxed and with manual. - Korg GA-30 Guitar/Bass Tuner. 16.
PMd.
Back to you
17.
I used this, and continue to use this for years. EXCELLENT bit of kit - one word of warning though; despite there allegedly being vista drivers, I have not had success getting this compatible with Vista. I'm sure the seller won't mind me mentioning this. Good luck with the sale.
I don't mind at all As you said it's a great bit of kit, I've always run it on Windows XP and I've never had a problem.
18. That bass looks awesome! I could be interested on this one. Just a couple of questions: - Is the P pickup in the same spot as on a traditional Precision bass? - What pickup selection options do you have? Can you solo just the outer coil on the pickup bridge? Can you mix the P pickup with only the outer coil on the bridge? Thanks.
