  1. David kindly answered my plea for a hard case for my P Bass. It was at least as good as described, really well packaged & he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Thanks again David, appreciated👍👍
  2. I always thought it was the nail hole used when spraying seen on early Basses before they switched to using the ‘strip’?
  3. Plus one for the Avant Guard - closest I’ve seen to an original👍👍
  4. Mine was for my Fender Squier Mini P Bass, I couldn’t find anyone else that did them….
  5. Ah, it says he’s away until tomorrow…
  6. Check out the Guy below on eBay. Very good looking, well made and quite ‘opalescent’ - about as good as you can get without paying hundreds of your finest British pounds on an Avant Guard jobbie from France👍👍
  7. I found the Avant - Guard ones were very close to the originals. Here’s one I had on my AVRI, very ‘opalescent’ being Celuloid.
  8. Tl Flats - very little use. Can post to the U.K. Mainland in the original packaging. Gauges .043 .058 .070 .100

  9. Yet another incredible solderless Loom from John for my Squier Mini P Bass this time with the usual second to none service & craftsmanship using quality components. I was thinking of changing the pickups but the improvement in tone is so good there’s no need now, so it’s always worth fitting one of John’s Looms initially as even if you do replace the pickups later, you are safe in the knowledge that you already have a first class wiring harness. The great feature of them being solderless is that even an old technical Duffer like me can fit them literally in minutes. Also not being very technically gifted, I tell John the type of sound I’m looking for and he recommends the correct value of capacitor to fit - Fab. Thanks again John - outstanding👍👍

  12. Bought as a Xmas present (don’t tell Mrs. Dodgnofski)😟😟 - fitted once & less than 30 minutes playing time - .039 .056 .077 .096 gauges, long scale - uncut so will fit in line, or 2+2 etc. Although La Bella say these are extra light, in my humble opinion I would say they are more like light, or maybe even medium gauge. Would trade for the La Bella - or possibly other makes - flat round low tension jobbies for my old fingers, as lighter gauge as possible please.
  13. Bought some strings from Rob & they are spot on. Excellent communication, packaging & speedy delivery as ever. Thanks again Rob👍👍
