  1. Fab, thank you πŸ‘πŸ‘
  2. Thank you πŸ‘ - I think there are only two wires on the replacement one - like the original, I’m just wondering if I can switch the connectors over, or if I will need to connect the new cables to the old ones and therefore retaining the original connector 😳? Than you again for your help πŸ‘ Cheers, Tim
  3. Thanks Guys πŸ‘ The fan noise is only a tad to loud when playing at home, or in the studio. Live it wouldn't be a problem - however, on close inspection the fan does look like it's probably done a few sorties too many πŸ™ˆ. I have been using it for most of the day with the fan disconnected and it didn't even get warm 'at home' volume & as my next Gig looks like being on the twelfth of never, this could be a temporary fix? Obviously, I wouldn't risk using it at live (fat chance) volume without reconnecting the fan. I have ordered a fan which has similar specs to the original, but has a different connector - which will test my minuscule electrical capability to the limit, I can feel a wire splice in the offing as I don't even know if the connectors can be swapped? Thanks again for your help and advice Guys, it is very much appreciatedπŸ‘πŸ‘ All the best, Tim
  4. Measurements as best as I can tell with my old eyes are :- 60mm x 60mm 15mm deep Hole centres are 50mm apart or 70mm diagonally and there is a red two pin connector at the end of the two wires. Thanking you in advance for any help, or info πŸ‘ Cheers, Tim
  5. oops, sorry - I’ll measure it tomorrow. Here’s a pic if it helps πŸ‘
  6. Does anyone know of a whisper quiet fan to replace the one in my Eden WTX264 which is a tad too loud please?
  7. Bought a great amp from Andy - he was an absolute pleasure to deal with and therefore I would heartily recommend him to all BC'ers without - in the words of Mrs. Slocombe - fear of contraception πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. All the best & thanks again Andy πŸ‘
  8. A similar thing happened to me when I was young, I’d asked for an Action Man for Xmas, but when I opened it, it was just an empty box☹️ When I asked where the Action Man was, my Dad said it was β€˜The Deserter’ model πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Bum, Bum - BumpπŸ‘πŸ‘...
  9. Mine weighs in at 3.822kg, or 8.462lbs in old money - sorry I can’t be more precise πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ‘πŸ‘...
  10. Superb instruments & allegedley rarer than a very rare thing, from the Planet Rare in this 'see through' finish πŸ‘πŸ‘....
  11. Thank you πŸ‘πŸ‘
  12. Hi Chaps, any opinions on wether or not these neck pockets indicate original finishes, or possible resprays? They are a 63, a '61 and a '65 - which shows the bare wood from where the paddle was fitted during spraying which I always thought usually indicated an original finish, but not sure if the same method was used on earlier Fenders? - thank youπŸ‘πŸ‘
  13. Si must be a Time Lord, it’s the only explanation πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ‘πŸ‘...
  14. I bought a Fretless from Neil and once again he was an absolute pleasure to deal with so needless to say (but I will), that once again I would whole heartedly recommend him to all BC'ers - without fear of conraception - as Mrs. Slowcombe would say πŸ˜‚. Thanks again Neil, very much appreciated πŸ‘πŸ‘ All the best, Tim
  15. Hi, do you have an accurate weight for the Yammy please, are the controls volume, volume, tone and what does the switch do 😳?

    Cheers,

    Tim

any contributions by other BCers who've owned one welcomed (particularly the switch enquiry).

      OK Mick,

I was hoping it was an extra lightweight jobbie, like the one I sold recently ☹️ - sub 8lbs. I think the switch has been added as none of the other BB’s I’ve owned over the years had a switch.

      All the best

      Tim

  19. One of the few Combos that can handle most live Gigs - heard one in a large Pub in a loud three piece - the clarity and power were amazing πŸ‘πŸ‘
  20. Thanks Skezza & just down the road too πŸ‘πŸ‘......
  21. Ashdown RM-110 front ported Bass Cab - small, light - one hand lift, (even for me and I’ll never see 66 again) ☹️ which sounds really good & is in very good condition. One ten inch Dual Concentric 250w RMS Woofer, which handles the Lows and Mids + a Horn / Tweeter - the original ones of which were found to be faulty, so Ashdown sent an upgraded replacement - although I still struggle to hear it with my old cloth ears? However, I have owned a couple of Mi 112 cabs which also had tweeters that I couldn't hear either 😳😳!! Luckily if I've not fitted it correctly, I have another brand new one which will be included in the sale πŸ‘πŸ‘ The recessed metal top handle is great making lifting and carrying a doddle - one journey load / unload - Bass, on my back - MB200 & leads in Gig Bag in one hand and the cab in the other πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘πŸ‘, who would have thought 50 years ago It would be possible to go to Gigs on the Bus -which would definitely not have been possible with my Selmer Goliath 1 x 18 - especially if the conductor said 'upstairs room only'πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ‘πŸ‘ Only selling because I've had a Barefaced 1 x 10 for Xmas which is a Tad smaller to fit better in the space allocated by the current Kitchen Viper πŸ˜‚ These are also Fab cabs, but not entirely sure you could say it's Β£239.00 - more 'Fab''☹️☹️ πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ?? Combined Speakon and 1/4” Jack Input and link - Life saver if you've forgotten your Speakon Lead. Here are those nice Specs. we all love so much πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘πŸ‘... Dimensions - 46 cm High x 32.5 cm Wide x 33.5 cm Deep Weight - 12 kg - ish Power Rating - 250w RMS Tweeter Front Ported I can post out to the UK Mainland which would cost Β£20.00 via Parcelforce if you are too far away to collect, or if not - feel free to nip around for for a good try out.
  22. Thanks Neil, yes they are rather spiffing - just wish they did a short, or maybe even a medium scale version πŸ‘
  23. My lovely Yamaha Lined Fretless with an extremely low action and oodles of mwaaaaaaaar. I really love this bass, but unfortunately in my dotage I am now beginning to struggle with long scale basses ☹️ There are a few tiny dings and some buckle rash, but nothing major.being overall in excellent condition and plays very nicely. Not an exceptional amount of volume from the passive pickups, but both working as they should. It is a wonderfully shoulder and back friendly 7.5 lbs and seems to stay in tune for ever. The fret lines extend over the edge of the fingerboard, with a dot position marker in between, as on a regular bass making playing in tune very easy - even for an old duffer like me. The volume / volume / Tone controls provide a nice range of sounds, especially that lovely β€˜woody’ Fretless sound we all love. A Rok - Sak β€˜Hob Nob’ of Gigbags is included. but unfortunately I do not have a box large enough to post out and therefore it will probably need to be collected - sorry ☹️ This would be an nexpensive way to try Fretless bass on an instrument that is well set up and very easy to play - if you don’t find double octave necks a bit too much of a stretch, like me. Or alternately, the quality of this bass is more than sufficient to use on stage or in the studio. Thanks for looking Chaps & Chapesses, if you have any questions - please fire away πŸ‘
