Mint condition Markbass Blackline 250w Amp + Hotcovers made to measure vinyl case + original box! Owners Manual & Warrenty Card. Bought brand new earlier this year, never gigged and has had home use only. Loud as heck, with all the usual Markbass lovely warm tones. Having owned a couple of F1's, Littlemark ll's and lll's 250 & 500's + a couple of LMK's, I can say without fear of contraception !! that this is just as well made and plenty loud enough for most gigs, especially if run at 4ohms - as Marco says "the 250w head is almost as loud at 4ohms, as a 500w head is at 8ohms"!! In perfect working condition, with no issues and in mint condition, can post out at buyers expense if required. Thank you for your time & interest.

Yamaha BBNF lll Fretless 4 String Bass **ON HOLD**

No love for one of the very best fretless basses I've been fortunate enough to own, or even just play during the past four decades ?? You know you've always wanted a fretless !! and this beauty has all the attributes, sounds and build quality of instruments costing a scrillion times more - honest Injun - dip yer bread !! -
As the 'one in - one out' rule apparently still applies, as so kindly pointed out by the current Kitchen Viper and having just acquired a really nice Status - here is my lovely Yamaha BBNF lll Fretless 4 String Bass. Alder Body in natural finish Double octave, lined Rosewood fingerboard, the lines extend over the edge of the board and the position dots are in the usual place as on a fretted bass, so even a 'Fretless duffer' like me can play in tune. Maple bolt on neck Two passive very powerful Soapbar style pickups Controls are neck p/u volume, bridge p/u volume and master tone control 34" Scale The action is low and the neck is very comfortable to play, currently sporting flat wound strings to protect the really nice condition of the fingerboard. There are a few marks and the odd scratch, but overall it is in very good condition for it's age. It is lightweight and comes with a brand new Protection Racket faux sheepskin lined Gig Bag and an owners manual sheet, parts list, and circuit diagram etc. Collection preferred, but can post out if you are too far away, at the buyers expense - should be £25 ish via Parcelforce48

Markbass - all made in Indonesia now and heavy?
dodgnofski replied to phatbass787's topic in Amps and Cabs
I have owned quite a few Italian made Markbass amps, including LittleMark series 2's & 3's - two LMK's and two - (one of which blew up) - F1's' All of them were great amps - even the F1 that blew up ...................... until it blew up !! Due to not gigging very much in my dotage - if at all , but still being a fan of the MB sound I bought a MB Blackline 250 and in my very humble opinion the build quality, sound and functionality is no better and no worse than the other MB amps I've owned, is as loud as heck & sounds 'fab' !! There were two big pluses for me in buying one of these - the cost and as an old codger, I prefer the more subdued appearance of the fascia. Top marks to Marco for producing a high quality product, at a price that even us Pensioners can afford !! Oh and by the by - I knew exactly where it was manufactured prior buying, without very much digging & as with the Italian models - it weighs next to nothing........... !! -
Fender 60's P Bass - what type of wood is this please?
dodgnofski replied to dodgnofski's topic in Repairs and Technical
Thanks Daniel, I think I just got lucky! - it's all original, arrow straight neck, allowing for an incredibly low 'playable' action, massive output from the pick ups. lightweight and plays like the proverbial dream - phew!! - I haven't been able to put it down for the past two weeks, so it has the added advantage of keeping me away from the fridge !! I was originally thinking of a pre - CBS jobbie, but I can't imagine 'any' Precision from any era would suit me better than this beauty, plus I just couldn't resist those Lollipop tuners !! All the best Tim -

Hi, no - it's the original sunburst paint job - but the more I look at it, the more it looks like Ash to me? -

Thanks for taking the trouble to post the pics dannybuoy - appreciated! Comparing the two - and if I had to bet my house on it, I'd plump for Ash as the grain resembles the top pic way more than Alder pic?? Any more offers??
