Thanks to @Graham A I now have a trio of Fender Precisions (top to bottom): 2021 Fender Player Plus 2021 Fender American Professional II 2021 Fender Player with Hi-mass bridge and Hipshot tuners Would quite like one of the Japanese PB-62 reissues and a Fender or Squier 32" scale for the collection at some stage.

Barefaced Super Twin 2x12 4 ohm, 1200 watts Lightweight with built in wheels Padded cover (Roqsolid not Barefaced) In excellent condition, selling because I tend to use my Two10 cab more. Beat the wait and save significantly on the new price. Collection or I could deliver within 100miles (roughly Carlisle or Newcastle) for fuel money.

FINAL PRICE DROP - £700 ono. Almost new Fender Player Plus Precision in a classic white with tort pickguard. Gigged twice but not for me as I prefer my passive P-bass. It has sat in a case for most of this year. Price dropped to £700 as it is just sitting in a bag. Prefer collection but can post at buyers expense.

Sire D5 that I bought new from Andertons when they first came out. Beautiful roasted maple neck with roles fret edges. Plays like butter. Classic vintage P bass sound from the single pickup. No noticeable flaws or damage, in really nice condition. I think I have only gigged this once or twice, hence the reason for sale - it just doesn't get enough use to earn it's keep. I would prefer a local pickup but I do have shipping boxes so I could ship it at cost (UK only). Price dropped to £220

Yes I saw this. It looks lush! Roasted maple neck and a Sterling is nicer than a Stingray in my book. If I didn't already have too many basses I'd be driving down now.

Not any more than their usually is with a passive PJ setup. The J in the bridge position is always a bit 'lightweight' for me - I never use it on its own - just blend it in with the P to get a bit of brightness. Same on a JJ for me TBH. Bridge pickup on its own never suited my kind of playing.

Had a proper wiring job done by a local tech. Sounding great now. quality mini pots, volume, blend, tone and decent jack. Tone is nice and linear. The P pickup is super fat and when you blend in the J pickup it just brings in a bit more clank and scoops the mids. Perfect for my crunchy rock tone!

I was never totally happy with the sound of my Fender Aerodyne so I decided to pop in a set of Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders. Much more mid focused. Not sure the wiring is right though. Tone control doesn't really do what it should. I might buy a prewired loom.

I'll help you out here..... It's missing the scratch plate and although the seller mentions it there are no pictures. The tuners are pretty tarnished. The fretboard looks manky. However, if I didn't already have one, I'd be all over it.

I'm pretty sure I didn't know what I was doing. I was only 15 or 16 at the time. 😳

Yes a B10. My first bass guitar. Bought for Christmas 1986 because the band I was in sacked the bass player and someone had to take over! Replaced in 1989 with a Washburn Status that I still have.

Bizarre story - I'm not actually left handed. The ONLY thing I do left handed is play guitar. When I was a kid, my dad had a left handed Les Paul and it didn't lend itself to turning upside down so I learned to play it left handed. By the time I realised my mistake, it was too late!

Funnily enough, when I first took up bass guitar as a teenager, my first actual amp was a Marshall JCM800.

Spent an hour fitting a set of Hipshots to my Player Precision and put some Roto flats on that I had lying about. Also got the black Aerodyne out for a comparison photo.

That's a really striking sparkly finish - lovely! And the neck looks great. It's definitely one of the best things about Sire basses (along with the price!) I've had 3 Sires. A first gen V7 (really nice except for the tuner that fell to bits), a D5 that has the best feeling neck I've ever had and a U5 which had to go back because the fret edges were so poor. I still have the D5 - it's a lovely thing to play.

Love it. If ever you are considering selling or trading it .......
