  1. I looked at this one because I've always wanted an aerodyne. I had thought I could get another neck but the price is too high for a bass that is pretty beat up.
  2. Yes. The Spector has a small body and it is very nicely sculpted. It is super comfortable to play although it is not as light as the Overwater.
  3. Current family (l-r) Status S2 5-string Overwater custom P Washburn Status S1000 Spector Euro LX Vintage Icon P-bass Schecter dUg Baron-H
  4. Come on folks. This is an absolute bargain. Lightweight plek'd gig/studio machine. If this was a four string I'd already have done the deal.
  5. Wow. I paid £450 for mine. Brand new. In 1989 😁
  6. You've sold the Washburn Status? And the Japanese Jazz is gone. My collection is positively stable in comparison!
  7. Ok thanks. I'm not currently in a position to buy but I have a deal on another bass hopefully going through in a couple of weeks so if the Sterling is still there, I'll be in touch.
  8. I'm in Scotland. Would you be prepared to meet up somewhere like Berwick upon Tweed or maybe Alnwick?
  9. I am also intrigued by the GR AT carbon cabs. I have a Barefaced Supertwin for gigs and a Two10s for rehearsals. I recently injured my back and even the Supertwin is verging on being hazardous to move (although it has the built in wheels). I had toyed with the idea of selling the Two10s and getting a GR AT212 to try out. Current amp is a TC RH450. Any thoughts?
  10. No, I bought it from Lorenz but I understand that it came from Rob before that. It's a truly beautiful bass.
  11. Snap!
  12. Five string Status S2 headed from about 2001. Previously owned by various basschatters. Beautiful bass but 5-string not for me. I really need to get my finger out and find it a new home.
  13. Too true. I'm already hatching a plan for another custom build 😬
  14. First rehearsal last weekend and this bass is a killer. Definitely my new number 1. Didn't even take the Spector out the bag and the Status is going to be up for sale now. It is that good. Plays beautifully, sounds great with my rig, and looks absolutely fantastic (to my eyes). It was a long wait, it was not cheap but it was absolutely worth it.
  15. No I wouldn't. It couldn't be my dream bass if I couldn't play it and turning it upside down would bring so many compromises that it would not be my dream bass. In any case, I have all my dream basses now.😁
  16. It has finally arrived. Beautiful bass. The best I've ever played. Can't wait to actually try it out for real!
  17. There's a right wee lefty bass community up here in Scotland! Glad you got it sold in the end.
  18. It's Overwater's own bridge design I think.
  19. Bit of a delay but it is almost finished. Excited😁
  20. Crikey. That is very much an acquired taste! Reminds me very much of bands I liked in 1987.
  21. Lefty 4-string P-Bass with a translucent red burst and what looks like a lovely flame maple neck. I've got a thread in the lefty forum.
  22. Beautiful. Saw it on FB the other day. I'm now hoping my OW is not too far from completion.
  23. With my new Overwater incoming, I'm thinking of trying to sell one of mine. Not sure what to let go. Status S2 5-string is a candidate as I don't really play 5-string. Schecter dUg Baron H is the other candidate as I can't really manage the 35" scale with my super small hands.........
  24. Well, someone got a real bargain. Sold for £1220. Says a lot about the market at the moment.
