  1. Hmm. No idea but it is the lightest full size bass I own. I will attempt to weigh it and get back to you.
  2. Pickups are Hohner branded Select by EMG.
  3. Hohner B2A active headless bass. I've used this as a travel bass for practice whilst away on trips and it is ideal for that as it is standard 34" scale but the same length as an electric guitar. Fits in a standard electric guitar gigbag (not included) Everything works and it plays fine but it has some marks and wear commensurate with its age. The top stacked tone knob is loose but a dab of glue would fix that.
  4. BASS IS NOW GONE. 2017 Musicman Stingray 3EQ. Black with rosewood board. Original case with all the case candy. Bought new in December 2017 and gigged a handful of times before my Spector became number 1. In almost perfect condition. Currently fitted with Schaller style strap locks. New bass incoming so no trades please.
  5. I would say tension is slightly lower than the nickel Rotosounds. They are definitely an acquired taste in terms of feel. They are smooth, almost like a flat but not quite. Tonally, they start off like a week old nickel roundwound set and stay that way for literally months and months of playing. same set still on my Spector - 25 gigs roughly.
  6. Only way is to try. The Elixirs are still on my no. 1 bass. I did try coated EB strings but they didn’t last and I put the Elixirs back on. Must be up to 20 gigs now.
  7. Sorry. I only just noticed this is black. I’m looking for a chrome one.
  8. I found the feel slightly ‘slimy’ to begin with. They certainly don’t have the abrasive feel of stainless roundwounds. I have also tried the coated Rotosound Nexus strings on my Stingray and the Elixirs are far superior in my opinion. The Rotos only lasted 2 gigs before sounding ‘woody’. The Elixirs are now 12 gigs in - they are starting to go off but still useable. I might try the Ernie Ball coated strings next or maybe a set of colbalt flats for a change......
  9. PM me what you were looking for it. I’m not far away and I have a birthday coming up in a few weeks.
  10. That white one is lovely. Is it Fender or Squier branded (can't tell on my phone). I'd love a shot of that. I find as I get older that my small hands are struggling more.......
  11. Does anyone know if Fender ever made a short scale P bass or Jaguar bass in left handed?
  12. Lovely.
  13. I’ve still got them on my Spector. Over 10 gigs now. Still sound and feel fresh. Tried Rotosound Nexus on my Stingray - 2 gigs in they are dull and the coating has visibly worn in places.
  14. I can’t believe it took me so long to try these. I’ve used them on acoustic guitar for years. I’m now 8 gigs in and they still sound and feel like new. I’d have gone through 3 or 4 sets of Rotos or EBs by now.
  15. There are different fitments of Hipshot to match the tuners on your bass. The BT2 is a fitment for vintage Fenders. I have a spare lefty (treble) BT7 that I had on a Squier - perfect for a Mexican Fender. I also have a Hipshot on my Spector. I’m looking to get one for my Stingray - I need a BT1 for that!
  16. Last month I splashed out and put a set of Elixir coated nickel roundwounds on my Spector Euro LX. Six gigs in and they still sound like new. Normally I change strings every two gigs. I didn’t like the feel at first but I’ve got used to it. My new favourite string!
  17. That is most excellent. I wonder if I can raise the cash....
  18. I saw this. It's not far from me......
  19. The necks on the player P bass are 42mm at the nut - same as a Standard P bass and a Musicman etc. They are definitely not Jazz necks. I loved the neck on my Squier PJ bass - but I’m getting used to wider necks again with my Stingray and my Spector 😉
  20. How do you feel about someone who is totally right handed playing guitar left handed? The ONLY thing I do left handed is play guitar....... 👀
  21. Nice. I like the black with maple neck.
  22. The Tidepool is much more like the photo I posted above than the photos you see online. I quite liked it. The reason I didn’t buy is that I wasn’t sure on the day and by the time I had decided, they were sold out. I think when they are back I might just have to get one although I have bought a Spector since 😉
  23. I've had the Washburn from new. I've never seen another lefty so I guess it is quite rare.
