1. Loads of stuff, I'll post some more ad's later. All Pm's returned. WE STILL HAVE A FEW OF THESE SOUNDCARDS LEFT
2. Hi Guy's, My boss is looking to move on a few Audiophile 2496 PCI soundcards. Just the thing for professional home recordings as they are 24bit at 96K. Plenty of good reviews on google. All in as new condition. Quick sale needed, first come first served. £20 + shipping Bit of info here: http://www.absolutemusic.co.uk/shop/view_p...oduct=mauap2496 http://www.amazon.co.uk/M-Audio-9900-50765...d/dp/B00006I5H5
3. Yeah I'm all good thanks mate, same as normal, too many gigs not enough time!
4. Hi guy's, Great little mixer in good condition. Four channels with mic pre's and phantom power + 2x stereo channels. Great for practicing and for recording ect, much better quility than the Behringer mixers. £20 for quick sale, must go asap. Cheers Lee
5. Hi Guy's, The amp works great, but is missing two knobs, I'll try and get some replacements if possible before sale. £40
6. Hey Nik, hows you? There's no bridging switch or diagram to indicate if this is possible. It is 2x120watt though. Lee
7. Aguilar OBP3 is my favorite pre at the mo, got one in my sadowsky and might be putting one in my Spector
8.
If you've still got it when I move up to uni in Lincoln again in mid Sept, i'll drive over and grab it it, so consider that a backup plan if you don't get it sorted before then!
I hope I sell it before then
9.
When travelling, waiting for cast members etc, it's nice to do some transciption to keep the musical mind ticking over. I'm not great at it, but feel great when I get something written out all purdy-like. Thing is, I don't have perfect pitch, so I need something to give me notes while I do it. The bass is ideal, but if I'm on a train it's no good. So, what can I carry around in my bag that will give me notes? Perhaps a Stylophone? You can pick them up for 15 quid or so, it seems. Does anyone know if they can do chords? If, as I suspect, this idea is very flawed, can anyone suggest another small note-making device?
Sorry mate, it can't do chords. Just got one for my birthday, realy enjoyed anoying every one with my Specials renditions on it! Have you thought about an old Yamaha QY20?
10. It's a silver one and there's a dish on the front of the house about 10ft up if you want it. Lee
11.
I can't convince you to ship the bass, perhaps?
No sorry mate not for some thing of this value, how ever you can get a flight to east midlands airport cheap and pick it up
12. Hi Guy's, I've replaced my studio monitors with an active set so this power amp is now surpless. It's 120 watt and I have used it recently also to power my 4x10 for lessons at home, but really dont need it. £35 + postage Lee
13. Hi Guy's, Again due to the Boss/Roland deal at work I have been given a brand new top spec drum machine for teaching, so I have decided to part with my reliable Boss DR550 in great condiion. Used this loads since I've got it and is great for teaching. After £20 which is super cheap
14.
Yep, that is true. On early Warwick Streamers (with the NS shape, mid 80's) it actually says something like "licensed by Stuart Spector/Ned Steinberger". So I guess at one point, Warwick DID pay to use the NS shape. Oh, and BTW, what preamp is in this NS4? Boost only or boost/cut?
Boost and cut mate
15. Warwick were 'inspired' by Spector. The orginal basses of course being designed by furniture designer Ned Steinberger who shared woodworking space with at co-operative with Stuart Spector, hence the NS prefix. They are very different basses to Warwicks, both are lovely.
16.
£15 posted?
Sorry mate, + postage All PM's replied to.
17.
Is this still for sale...Straight cash this time...
Yep, but it's collection only mate. did youget my pm about the lakland? Lee
18. Hi Guy's, This is the unit I got from our man Ped a few months ago, it works a treat, it has great mojo (i.e. lots of scratches!) BUT WORKS GREAT. The reason for selling is that through work I now have access to a brand new one of these as well as any other Boss/Roland gear any time I like and a new one of these arrived yesterday. I'd like £15 Lee
19.
Just rang the chap who dealt with me at Brum - a nice, helpful bloke called Rob. I was quizzing him about the US ones and they have just one left with a redwood top @ £799 but that's Divorce City Arizona so I must resist. Can't see this affecting resale values in the long term but I doubt I'd get the £450 I paid for the Rebop 5DLX FM two weeks ago back if I tried to sell it now (no chance). Que sera - you win a few and you lose a few.
How depressed am I, you don't want to know what I paid for my NS4
20. Nice mate, better wood than the one they have in Leicester (that's full price!). Lee
21. You get 2k worth of cover + public liability now through the union, this can work out well depending on how much you make a year from music. Home insurance is a dodgy one if you make part or all of your living through music, also check the single article limit. Not all insurance is equal even policies underwritten by the same company. When I had my studio stuff stolen I had a back up HDD of all my work.....next to the Mac, so they stole that to!
22.
I hope you don't mean the SR4 I bought off you!
Well at that price mate Nah it was the my Trans red one, my itwas my favorite bass and main gigging axe for 10 years
23. I had my SR4, Incase and protools stolen 18 months ago, gutting experiance and as it's how I make my living really difficult while the insurance paid out. Moderators; would it be possible to have a stolen gear thread so members can keep an eye out for stolen gear? I would be more than happy to do the admin for it if it helps. Lee
24.
Just out of interest... what is the combined weight (inc case) of your rack?
Well I no longer have the rack case or the power conditioner, but when it was all ready to go with cable bag in the back it was about 160lbs. I used to have it in a 14u shock rack on wheels with a few other bits and in the end our crew wouldnt move it. I've split the rack down to two cases now and for gigs where I move my own gear I'm using an Ag500.
25. Hi Guy's, I'm looking to sell my rack tuner as I'm getting a strobo rack £50 + delvery
