Hello, I am interested in purchasing this bass guitar and wonder if some members here can provide some more information. I am interested in: 1. What is this model type called? 2. Is this a legit genuine yamaha bass or is this just somebody throwing parts together? 3. When/where did these get produced? 4. These sound kind of like fenders? 5. I got 2 Mesa Boogie Speakers. For now i run them both with one DR103 head. The plan is to use the DR103 for one and the "Slave" for the other one. Each Speaker is 8 Ohms. My DR103 does not have 'slave' out. Guess i will have to find another solution. Thanks for the reply fellas.

Hello, I have a DR103 and want to buy a Hiwatt custom slave 100 power-amp to double up to 200 Watts. However, i have no clue how to connect these two units together to make it work with a single Bassguitar. Thanks for your help

I have a OBP1 and when i turn it on it sounds fantastic, i wish it would also make the bass a bit louder. Does somebody happen to know if this is the case with the OBP2 or 3? I know that the sadowsky preamp can add some volume and is FET designed. The OBP2 and OBP3 are some different design, OBP1 is all FET also, so my fear is that 2 and 3 will sound different but i have not ever tried them yet.

I want to add a something to my bass but don't know what to get. Usually i play all passive but when I want to play a bass solo my sound does not work at all (I play flats and my sound is all about the low and low mid end of the spectrum). It's a jazz kind of bass and for now i go to my bridge piuckup for the bass solos (i do not like to carry pedals around). What i want is a device that i put in my bass, one that does not need extra pot's (i like to keep the passive setup as it is and rather not drill any more holes anywhere). If i can adjust the settings once with a little screwdriver and let that thing disappear in my bass that would be perfect. It's supposed to make me louder, give me a distinct solo sound (scoop EQ?) and if possible even some grid and compression. Activation should be via switch (have one in my control plate already anyways). 18V would be great, 9V work too. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. EDIT: fixed the ctrl-v issue
