  3. Cheers mate Just a bit of blatant self promotion when I'm gigging 😂
  4. Funny you say that I am considering Yellow as well!! It would match my custom strap I made the other week 🤔
  5. Also I started making my back up 5 stringer but I can't decide if I want the body to be black or white?.........👍🏻
  6. I decided to go a slightly different route on the short scale Punkcoustic bass the top will have a bit more of a natural look which will be sunburst into the black back and sides........👍🏻
  7. I’m glad your here I never would have thought if that 🤣
  8. I’ve already done 3 yellow and black guitars so I’m going to do something different time…….👍🏻🤘🏻
  9. Yeah here’s a mock-up of how it will look, I’m not sure of the colour combo yet I’m thinking blue with yellow stripes but that might change?
  10. I’ve started building a 30” short scale that will be for sale soon 😜👍🏻

  13. Here’s my latest build…… This one is going to be my new main gigging bass and it’s a 5 stringer………👍🏻 And here’s a few of my latest guitar builds……..
  14. You’ve got this one it’s routed for a guitar neck but hasn’t got any bridge holes so you should be able to get the right scale length………👍🏻
  15. Well you can’t go wrong with a classic colour combo!!
  16. Cheers mate I thought I’d try and do a different spin on an acoustic guitar 👍🏻
  17. And I’ve also been making some 6 string Punkcoustics……👍🏻
  18. Hope everyone had a great Christmas!! I decided to change the body on the Thunderbird Punkcoustic as it was diving really badly so this what what I came up with instead its a bit of a nod to Dee Dee Ramone ….…👍🏻
  19. Finished both of mine!! Now time to start on the other 2…….👍🏻
  20. I’ve started to play in a acoustic punk covers band so I built myself an acoustic bass and anyone who has seen any of my personal bass builds know I have a bit of an addiction to the corvette shape so I thought why not blend the two here’s what I come up with so far……… Then I thought I’ll make a back up bass so I decided to make it my second favourite bass shape a Thunderbird, here’s just a quick mock-up….…. Then the two guitarist decided they wanted an acoustic each so I’ve cut the tops for them so far they wanted a kind of ES335/Starcaster type shape…….
  21. Me at a local music venue playing one of my basses
  22. Thanks for the advice I think I’ll just make the body thicker and just use a spare Fishman preamp I’ve already got 👍🏻
  23. Hi I’m thinking of making a slimline corvette inspired acoustic bass I’m going to make it about 40mm thick so I can’t fit a preamp to it, I know it won’t be very loud acoustically but I’ll only ever play it through a PA I’m thinking of fitting a ceramic transducer pickup under the saddle (Artec or similar) can I wire it up passive or do they need to be active? Also I know with disc piezo pickups if you solder a 0.1pF cap on the jack socket it takes some of the shrill tones away is that the same for a Ceramic one aswell? Any advice gratefully received 👍🏻
  24. Here’s my latest build…….👍🏻
  25. As most of you know I’m partial to a Corvette bass so I’ve decided to try and make a solid body (corvette inspired) acoustic bass don’t quite know how it’s going to come out but I’m going to try it anyway……..👍🏻🤘🏻
