  1. Sorry I meant to add the photo here it is
  2. Hi If there are any budding guitar builders that have any use for it, I have a guitar kit building and setup book it focuses on doing a 6 string electric but obviously the skills will be universal ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  3. Cheers mate I'll pm you my address
  4. Yes please mate I'll have them how much do you want for them? ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  5. If I was making the body out of a nice bit of Ash etc then that would be an option but its made out of a old scaffold board so I've had to do a lot of filling so its going to have to be a solid colour and I've got some satin White at work ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  6. I'm really struggling to find the right butterscotch colour thats not nitro so i think its going to end up being white instead
  7. That looks great! Its inspired me to refinish my Warwick copy which has the same flat finish and I'm thinking of changing the pickups to a double coil Jazz style so its a bit like a $$
  8. Hi Jon Can I have it please I'll make a donation to the RBL later on tonight if that's OK How much do you want for postage?
  9. Hi have you still got the pickguard available or have you put it up for sale instead?
  10. I'm considering a reverse headstock just trying to find a cheap enough lefty neck Well its kinda yellow-ish if it doesn't go butterscotch then it will be white Cheers ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  11. I've started another build which is a tele/precision hybrid I've seen lots of precision bodies with a modified telecaster pickguard but I haven't seen any the other way round so I thought I'd give it a go I've used some recycled pine I had kicking about for the body, Its going to have a maple/maple neck, Tele style headstock and I'm going to finish it in a solid Butterscotch/Blonde White-ish colour not sure about hardware colour yet as both I think suit the colour really well ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
  12. Quick update the barncaster bass is now the skacaster bass!
  13. I've always wanted a Duff Mckagan sig so I'm going to refinish my barncaster bass to look like one The neck is already black so I just need to rout a cavity for a J pickup, paint the body pearl white (which I'm a bit nervous of as I've never painted a pearl finish so any advice gratefully received) and change the wiring a bit to accommodate the TBX tone control and a 3 way pickup selector switch Hopefully it will end up looking something like this ๐Ÿคž
  14. In my usual style I decided to refinish the bass as there was something I didn't like about it so I decided to fill in the MM pickup and spray it Matt Black with matching hardware
  15. My almost finished Matt Black 54' slab body p bass
  16. My almost finished Matt Black 54' Slab body P Bass
  17. Another lovely bass! Its similar to one I have planned in my head a kinda Dusty Hill sig-ish style but maybe with a single MM pickup๐Ÿ‘
  18. Awesome looking bass!! I just love a bit of spalted beech ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘Œ
  19. I think that's a good shout! then whitewashed over the top might look a bit different ๐Ÿค”
  20. Your body has got a much better grain pattern than mine! But I noticed the leftys all seem to have a nicer grain on them I'm thinking maybe coloured will look better than natural, I've got a Blue and a Black RB corvette so maybe a whitewash might look good? ๐Ÿค”
  21. Looking great! I posted the review that was linked in your thread my only criticism with my bass is the finish looks really thick and lifeless I keep on meaning to sand it back and refinish it and your thread has spurred me on to do it! I'll just probably Danish oil it tho, How easy did you find the finish to sand off? ๐Ÿ‘
