I’ve got an old 2002 (I think) Warwick RB corvette in trans blue and I really like it the neck is really fast and playable and it still has the Warwick trademark growl!! I’ve got a 2014 RB 5 string as well but I haven’t strung it up yet so I can’t comment on that one
TBH the price you can pick them up for I don’t think you can go wrong!!
If I had the money I’d think about taking a punt on this?
Looks to me like maybe a broken truss rod I can’t see that the neck is actually broken?

I’ve been thinking a lot about pickup config today and I’ve been watching a few vids on YT comparing tones etc and I’m now thinking that I might go for classic ‘51 style at the neck and MM at the bridge because im going to do stacked pots with individual V/T for each pickup so each pickup would sound great on their own and blending the two would sound great aswell? Incidentally I’m probably going to string this bass with tapewounds.............🤔
Bit of an update on this build.........
I’ve decided to use the neck off my Orange Jazz bass build as I don’t really play it all that much now as I favour my White P or my Quincy (till the missus lets me have the Warwick’s!!!) and being Maple fretboard with blocks I think it will tie in with this build very well?? Should have pics to follow very soon!
I’ve been seriously GASing over a Jag bass recently so this seems like a perfect opportunity to convert the Jazz body into a Jag body instead and use the black neck on this future build.........😃
The sides I've got some 0.6mm maple veneer that could cover it
The truss rod will be in the same place in reality it will only be 2-3mm deeper by the time I cap the headstock......... 😀
The headstock is definitely going to have an 2-3mm Oak veneer on the face and I might veneer the back with 2-3mm maple aswell so I don't have to use a lump of maple?............ 😀
One other idea I've been toying with is to plant some 2" timber on the back of the headstock then cut the angle for the new headstock the front is going to be cladded with 2mm Oak to match the top body cap so that will hide the joint I think that if it will work this would be the easiest option and the strength of the neck wouldn't be effected?.......... 🤔
@Christine that's kinda what I was thinking I would have to do or the other way I was thinking maybe cut the neck at the headstock at a 14° angle just past the nut then cut the neck back straight then joint the two peices back together with dowels or strengthen the joint??
What do you think?? 🤔
I think that's how music should be played with passion and presence! Flea is one of my bass idols so stuffy and refined just doesn't sit right with me!! 😁
Sorry my mistake it's feckin gorgeous tho!! I would gladly have either!! Come to think of it I would love to have any ACG basses, shamefully I did borrow the shape of his Recurve SC for my neck through build but it's only because I can't afford for him to make me one!!......... 😁
I think that ACG take on a Jazz bass is awesome I much prefer it over the classic Jazz shape even the non-exotic are stunning................ 🤤
If you haven't guessed yet I'm very jealous!!
