  1. I did use her Christian name first but I think it sounds a bit more refined calling it a Craddock instead There's a lot worse names I could call it some might even make a sailor blush!! 😁
  2. I did it to a strat I've got quite a few years ago I cleaned the paint off the frets tho and the paint hasn't worn at all..... πŸ˜€
  3. I love the profanity filter it comes up with awesome changes!!
  4. Yes I've heard a queef (I'm too common to use the word queef so it's a Craddock Fart to me!!) but there wasnt a Shewee involved surely if there was a FF whilst using a Shewee it would sound a bit like a Fog horn or playing a milk bottle??
  5. That's a very good point!! I didn't realise you could play a Shewee tho?? πŸ€” At least I have changed my mind right at the beginning of the build this time not half way thru!!! 😁
  6. Right I've decided this is the winner but a 5er Just got to slightly change the body shape so the waist is a bit more rounded than on the P body......... πŸ˜€
  7. Aaaarrrggghhh I need help!! I've just seen this............. Now I really can't decide...............Help!?!😳
  8. Well it turns out you can buy a kit Telebass with MM pickup??? πŸ€” Or with the pickup further back??
  9. Congrats what did you win??
  10. Damn it!! I just played one of my mates 5 string Stingray and that's got me GASing for one so now I'm in two minds whether to carry on with this build or change it slightly to a Stingray instead or maybe make a Tele/Stingray Hybrid?? (I don't know how that would work maybe a single MM pickup??).......... πŸ˜€
  11. Congrants to @SpondonBassed I would have loved that bass!!
  12. Sounds like I missed a good day!! just out of interest who won @Andyjr1515 jag bass in the raffle??
  13. Hope you all have a great afternoon!! 😁
  14. Router bits turned up yesterday so got the body all shaped....... The back and sides have been sanded to 240 grit now just got the top to do......... πŸ˜€
  15. Ooohhhh have you got any pics of the body so far?? I've been waiting for router bits so I can carry on with my 51 P bass build so I feel your pain......... πŸ˜€
  16. Thanks for that @Andyjr1515 I'm glad mines not as complicated as @vinorangeπŸ‘
  17. If you've got one that would be great thanks
  18. Sorry @vinorangeI'm not trying to hijack your thread I searched for stack pots with independent V & T for each pickup and your thread came up so I thought I'd tag along for the ride......... πŸ˜€ Yeah sorry @Andyjr1515 for the confusion I basically want to do similar to what the OP has asked but mine won't involve any switches
  19. I've just been discussing on my 5 string Tele/P build about having 2 stacked pots with independent Vol and tone for each pickup so I'd be really interested in seeing a wiring diagram of how to make it work but mine won't involve any switches. I am worse than useless when it comes to wiring it took me about a month to try and work out how to replace a blend pot on an active harness to make it active/passive on a push/pull pot instead then I gave up and I rung my Dad for advice still couldn't understand it so I posted it to him to do for me instead ........ πŸ˜€
  20. Good shout! I've never had or wired up stack knobs so please forgive my ignorance but can you set them up so you have volume on top and tone one the bottom or vice-versa?
  21. Just had a thought if I go with the 2 pickups I would probably wire it the same as a Jazz so that means 3 knobs and I've just bought my control plate I wonder if I'd have enough room to drill another hole in it or would the knobs be far too close together?? πŸ€”
  22. Thanks everyone! I do like the idea of the simple/traditional-ish 1 pickup as pointed out by @SpondonBassed but then @Woodinblack makes a good point it might kind of look quite generic just with a different style pickup where as I know you can get P/J 50s style Tele basses but I've never seen one with 2 soapbar pickups so I'm thinking that maybe that's the way to go..........πŸ˜€
  23. Body is all cut template on ready to trim it with my flush cut router.............. πŸ˜€
  24. I'm having a bit of a play with the pickup config I can't decide if I should go for 1 soapbar or 2?? I think I prefer 1 in the neck position as its a bit more traditional?? Opinions please............... πŸ˜€
