Yeah I noticed that aswell as I said in my previous post I might be wrong and it turns out I am 😀 But saying that on lots of other forums everybody says that you can't spray cellulose (spirit based) over acrylic (water based) as it will craze and crack?? I think the best option is try for yourself and see what happens

Yeah I think @Reggaebass is right Halfords do sell a cellulose primer https://www.halfords.com/motoring/paints-body-repair/car-spray-paints/halfords-primer-white-500ml

I'd go for White primer if your top coating it White you normally use grey if your top coating black, I think hycote paints are acrylic and as far as I understand acrylic and cellulose don't mix but I could be wrong?

So do I! I prefer Fender type basses painted and chequered in some way but I prefer non-Fender natural wood or veneered like my ibanez and Tropia bass build...........

The bridge cover turned up today but I'm in two minds whether to use it on this build, I like it but I'm not sure?

I got about 10mm before it started bunching a bit on the horns but I was lucky I used self adhesive vinyl so when it cooled it was still sticky 😀

No once it cools down it stays sticky but keeps it shape If you do it right when you stretch the vinyl round the sides and you cut it back it leaves a nice edge but I think @kodiakblair is the best person to point you in the right direction when it comes to paisley vinyl do's and don'ts 😀

Don't worry mate I don't take offence to anything you say if everybody liked the same things life would be a very bland and boring place Thanks for the nice comments aswell I never use emoji's (smilies ha ha!) anywhere else but on here as a couple of my earlier posts a few people took my sense of humour the wrong way so I started using them to stop any confusion I do have a certain style that reflects in my builds/projects which suits my personality which is bold and brash, if I was selling the basses then I would probably would tone it down a bit unless that's what people wanted but because they are for me I can have fun with the colour schemes and as you've seen lots of times if I'm not happy with it I'll change it 👍

Yeah I much prefer playing to my P the action is nice and low and the neck is nice and quick, even though its set up the same as my P it just feels better to play I've just got to sort out the electrics as it on a solderless harness and 1 of the ends came off when I was stripping it down to spray 🤬

Here's my recently refinished Jazz kit build @BrunoBass I decided against the White and went for the Orange instead 😀

All finished and back together, just a quick little project 😀

I've got 1 more kit build planned (a warwick corvette copy) which I was thinking of doing yellow and black 😀

I was considering doing the blue and orange that I was going to use on my conversion but I because I'm doing the chequered pickguard I'm going to do it just orange maybe I'll do it on a different project 😀

Nope, it's definitely a bold choice of colour!! 😁

Just done a second coat in the top so I'll wait for it to dry till tomorrow then get it all back together 😀
